No more falling tailgates. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works as instructed *by D***B on March 10, 2026* Works as instructed ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 stars *by C***Y on May 22, 2020* Update: I was contacted by their customer service after my initial review. When they saw the problem I had with the cable clip they offered to reimburse me so I could purchase a new set of cables for the tailgate. They were very understanding and kept in contact until the situation was taken care of. Great customer service! I recommend this product but be careful when installing the clip. Installed on my Ram 1500. Installation was easy I was done in about 15 minutes. It works great now my tailgate isn't being slammed when it's opening. The instructions were easy to follow but I did come across a problem. The clip was a bit too tight/ small for the cable and it caused the plastic protective cover around the cable to get scraped off while installing, I have uploaded pictures to show what I mean. I informed the seller and they recommended to remove the clip but that would leave the cable open to the elements and might rust. I decided to keep it on so as not to cause further damage to the cable. Other than that I am content with my purchase as it does what's stated, it assists when opening the tailgate. ## Frequently Bought Together - Vepagoo Tailgate Assist Shock Struts Damper Soft Open 43301 fit for 2009-2018 Dodge Ram 1500, 2019-2022 RAM 1500 Classic, 2010-2022 RAM HD 1500 2500 3500. - Car Truck Antenna for Dodge Ram 1500 2012-2022 - Short Antenna Replacement for Dodge Ram 1500 Truck Accessories --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/166193989-2009-2018-dodge-truck-tailgate-assist-shock-for-02-08](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/166193989-2009-2018-dodge-truck-tailgate-assist-shock-for-02-08) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
