Worth it!
Does not work immediately, as it does need to get in the dogs system. I purchased this because I work from home and sometimes my dogs get too rowdy and loud. I gave this to my dogs, one each, for two days and by day 3, wow did it really kick in. It definitely keeps them calm and mellow. 100% will be giving this to them on the regular. One of my dogs hate the taste, and she literally eats anything and everything, so I’ve had to trick her into eating it, but it works. They are both very high energy dogs, and they nap all day with this. I will say at first it gave them severe diarrhea, just like if you change an animals food, but all is good now. Worth it!

Great value, works well.
Use on every road trip. The dogs love them and do not cause any tummy issues. It keeps them less excited on car rides and will make them calm enough to lay down (which rarely happens for my lab mix who loves to watch semis).

Works well but...
I have two rescue dogs. One is what I can only kindly refer to as "anxious". And being 1/3 pit, she leans into her anxiety with a whole lot of barking and fake aggressive behavior. (She sure does do her best impression of mean.). My second dog is confident, but incredibly energetic and has a hard time self regulating. A family member who has a veterinarian recommended these. They work very very well. Within approximately a half an hour you can noticeably watch both dogs "volume" turned down and their bodies relax. Only giving them four stars however because if you give it to them every day or the highest dose amount, sometimes it can upset their tummies a little. Also the new chicken flavor is more a pill than a treat to their palates.

My dog HATES the taste but product seems to really work!
Purchased this product for my neurotic and phobic dog, specifically for the recent 4th of July fireworks, but more generally for the daily thunderstorms we experience here in central Florida in the summer.I gave this product an overall rating of 3 stars because the product worked as described when I was able to force-feed it to my dog. It would be an excellent value compared to other similar products IF my dog would willingly take it, but because she will not, makes it useless to us but not necessarily for you. I rated the taste and scent 1 star each and only because 0 stars wasn't an option. The following is my fully detailed review:I don't like the side effects she gets from Benadryl; melatonin (while very helpful) doesn't relieve her symptoms enough.I purchased this product based on the great reviews and good value for the money compared to similar type products. I also wanted something more natural but not in the CBD category due to the recent influx of counterfeit/unregulated products flooding the market.I was thrilled to try this product. I LOVE my dog and she HATES (duh!) taking "medicine." I love the idea of her getting the relief she needs without the daily fight to force-feed her medication only contributing to her fear response. Based on recommendations and reviews, so many dogs seem to love the taste and smell of these medicated treats that I felt excited to try them!My dog was NOT on the "love the taste" team. She took them with ease and excitement on the first day I tried them. I got them in time to do a trial run during a bad storm prior to the few days of fireworks for Independence Day that I knew would cause her constant shaking, stomach upset, and anguish. On the second day, when she would need the relief the most, she would not take them! I tried EVERYTHING to hide them, disguise them, and/or bribe her to take them with no luck. As previously reviewed by many, these have a strong odor that is impossible to mask with cheese, chicken, lunch meat, etc. My dog won't eat peanut butter so I don't know if that would help others. While these are comparatively small for "treats" they are very large as a medication that requires me to essentially shove them down my baby's throat. By the way, I have a small (under 10 pound shih tzu mix) dog so this may not be as problematic for someone with a larger dog. They are also a rough texture making me feel even worse about forcing her to take them without chewing them.Because I discovered this product too late to buy a substitute, I broke them in half and forced her to take them. That all being said, this product seemed to have worked exactly as described! We had the most calm 4th of July we have had in her young 4 year old life! We took our normal steps to help her: stayed nearby, turned the TV up loud, wrapped her snuggly in a blanket when she wanted, offered soothing comfort and support when needed while not making too big of a fuss over her. Her shaking and need to hide was greatly diminished, the constant panting was eliminated, she didn't experience the diarrhea she often gets when having severe phobia. While she didn't love the night of constant booming noises or the following days of idiocy to follow, she seemed far less distressed. I was thrilled with the effectiveness.Unfortunately, for us, this product isn't a consistent option. It might be great for someone whose dog only requires it a couple times a year. Forcing it into our baby on a daily basis for months in the summer will only add to her trauma. Sadly, because I had to use some of these, I don't feel I can pursue a refund or return.I will continue to try to find another similar product, maybe a liquid formulation, for our four-legged friend.I desperately wanted this to work for us. If you want to try it, make sure you don't have a picky eater or be prepared to force-feed it because, at least for my fur baby, she hates the taste! Do a trial run for several days before you really need them, in case your experience mimics my own. Best of luck to you and your family in your quest to find relief for your family pets.I did not receive this product free or discounted in exchange for a review. I found it on my own, researching as you are now.

Truly calms anxiety rather than causing (or attempting to cause) sleepiness
We have a 3 year old mixed breed rescue who is very high energy and suffers from separation anxiety and is just generally anxious. I have to give her sedatives before taking her to the vet, and she still requires at least 2 vet techs to hold her for the doctor. I've tried several calming treats as well as a thundershirt and none had any obvious effect on her. We did have the pheremone plug in for a while and I thought it MIGHT have helped a little, but it was barely perceptible. These are the first calming product that really seems to work on her. Don't get me wrong, she doesn't get SUPER chill, but she is markedly more chill than normal. When family members come home she normally goes bonkers, jumping all over them, squeal-whining, getting in their faces trying to give them kisses. She goes especially nuts over my husband coming home from work. The first day I gave her these, she still greeted him excitedly at the door, but there was hardly any jumping. She circled him, wagging her tail with her usual vigor and still whined a little, but it was such an improvement. What I really like is that she just seems like she's more relaxed the same way she does after a good long romp with other dogs at the dog park or doggy day care, or a strenuous hike somewhere with lots of new smells. She doesn't have a bunch of nervous energy, but she doesn't seem groggy or sleepy like she does when given sedatives. It seems to genuinely act as an anti-anxiety treatment, not just something to dope her up and make her sleepy like treats with melatonin or tryptophan or actual prescription sedatives are meant to do. I think that's why those things don't work well for her, they might make her sleepy, but her mind is still racing. That probably feels even worse, imagine feeling scared that something bad is going to happen, on edge and hypervigilant, but also struggling to keep your eyes open. No wonder she still freaks out at the vet.One other thing I want to mention is that she has a very sensitive stomach, she gets loose stools very easily, has to be on a specific food and I also add fiber to her daily meals. I got the peanut butter flavor because she can't have chicken and I know she handles real peanut butter fine. She's had no changes in her potty habits since starting these, and I generally give her the full dose for her weight most days. (2 treats per day, she weighs around 60lbs.)If your pup is jumpy and wound up all the time, I would definitely recommend giving these a try. I hope that with regular use, as she experiences her days without so much anxiety, she will come to feel less nervous in general without the supplement. But if I have to keep her on these long term, I prefer that over having to put her on prescription meds.
