These water kefir grains work well, even for beginners like me!
Comes with instructions card & also a cute little 'adoption' cert :) As someone with zero experience making fermented drinks, I was pleasantly surprised this worked fine. Followed instructions and my 1st water kefir drink was ready in 2-3 days (they probably needed longer time to 'wake up' after the long transit) though subsequent ferments were much shorter, and took only around 16-24 hours. I switched from mineral water to coconut water (see vid) and then to tap water -which I enriched with egg shell and other stuff- and the grains had no problem adapting. In fact they expanded a lot already within the 1st week & I could see the grains bouncing up and down happily from week 2 onwards ;o Luckily seller's page has instructions for putting them to sleep, which is what I did when I needed a break :) And yes, we are having so much fun flavoring the drink and it does seem to help my parents' digestion and also heal my gut and auto immune issues. Water kefir is indeed sweeter compared to GBP which has a more sour tang so easily a crowd pleaser. Thank you! <333

Great Grains Making Great Kefir
These grains thrive 'with proper care'. So, please, follow their instructions as directed. They know what they're doing. I'm so happy with them that I just bought 2 more. They multiple making fermentation times better and better. The kefir over several months of use has become progressively better as my skill and care has progressed quite a bit. They are robust and vigorous. Great job. I highly recommend them.

Very Active Grains! Highly recommend!
This is my third time ordering. I have had amazing success with these water kefir grains, and found the instructions to be quite helpful. They suggest using sucanat or molasses with cane sugar, to add minerals, and they recommend the use of spring water, as filtered or reverse osmosis water has minerals removed, but the spring water is a good source of minerals. Tap water contains chlorine, which can negatively impact the living microbes within the kefir grains. Once the grains are rehydrated, and they have had several good feedings, they will begin to multiply quickly under the right conditions. I ended up with extra, and was adding them to the compost pile or giving them to the chickens, but next time I will be sharing with friends. Water kefir grains are the gift that keeps on giving. The only reason I had to get more, is because I tend to take extended breaks from kefir making and tossed it, rather than drying the grains or keeping it alive in the fridge. I will always recommend this brand of water kefir grains. Thanks for the amazing customer service, Yemoos!

Easily the best water kefir grains I've had
Nice big, healthy water kefir grains! I've used a different brand in the past and I'd say it took me over a month to get the grains as big and healthy as these were 3 days in. While you're not usually supposed to use the very first discard after rehydrating the grains, I could tell mine would have no problem carbonating - especially since I'm in California's central valley and it's summertime. So I did an organic cocoa & organic coffee cold brew 2nd ferment. It was done in 24 hours and you can tell from the picture and video that it was very bubbly! Tasted a bit like a tootsie roll too! It's super fun to play with flavors. My family loves PomWonderful Pomegranate & Blueberry kefir along with the mocha kefir. It does really well with pineapple juice, coconut water, and fresh fruits like cantaloupe and strawberries. Make sure you use bottles specifically made for the pressure of carbonation, store them well, and may you never have an explosion in your pantry or a kefir shower right in your face. Bonus tip: if you unload the dishwasher at night you can store your second fermentation bottles in there and at least know that if there is an explosion, it will be confined. You can pick out the shards of glass, reload the dishwasher and done! Far better than cleaning out the pantry, taking soggy labels off canned goods and having to re-label all of them. Ask me how I know! Or you can put them on the floor of your pantry sitting in your largest pot with a grocery bag covering the bottles and tucked inside the pot. If the plastic is outside the pot the potential liquid explosion wouldn't be confined to the pot itself and would drip down onto the pantry floor. It kept one of my 3 explosions from being a big deal. I've always thought water kefir grains would make for a great science experiment for school. And these grains in particular are wonderful. I would definitely buy them again if I ever need more though the ones I have now are multiplying like crazy. I feed them organic cane sugar. They also get treats like molasses, pink salt, baking soda, a bit of clean egg shell, or organic raisins. I call them my minions and feel bad when the babies get washed down the drain.
