Review: Good at this price - Good: It works. Installed a 15W LED bulb, nice and bright, no problems. Electrical parts seem robust. Foot switch is light but works well. Easy enough to assemble. Shade diffuses the light while blocking very little. Great price for what you get. Bad: The foot switch is there because there literally is no room for a switch on the lamp itself. Very thin and light, sturdy enough to hold the lamp upright, but that's all. Be careful when assembling - the pole is in multiple segments and the threads will probably strip out at the slightest excuse. Don't expect it to survive the first tip-over - if you have small children this lamp is not for you. Bottom line: You get what you pay for. We wanted something usable and cheap, and that's exactly what this lamp delivers. Five stars.

I don't have pets or children that I would have to worry about knocking it over but when I knock it around gently to see how easily it would fall over, it rights itself and does not fall. It is actually a very nice lamp for the price. I use it to read also with very good results. The assembly was easy. I did not have very high hopes for it when I saw the very small box it came in but I am very happy and impressed with this lamp. I think it looks very nice also, much better than I anticipated for the price.

**Q: What bulb does it use?**
A: I have two of these lamps, in one I use a standard incandescent bulb in the other I use a smart bulb.  I have no issue using either bulb.

**Q: Can you use Philips hue bulbs with this?**
A: Any standard base bulb will fit. Why they call it a led???

**Q: I have another shade I'd like to use.  What is the size of ring within the shade (how many inches across) that sets on the lamp?**
A: the lamp shade fitter attaches under the bulb. The ring size is 12.5''. You can get a bulb clip and attach any shade. Its a great simple lamp. I take it on every set for a practical. I do set design for films.

**Q: What are the dimensions of the base?**
A: the base is 31 inches around!!!!!!!

I placed this floor lamp in my bedroom, and it’s been a great addition to the space. Assembly was very straightforward and didn’t take long at all. The pieces fit together easily, and no special tools were required. The lamp is lightweight but still feels sturdy once assembled. It doesn’t wobble and stands securely in place. The white shade does a nice job diffusing the light, creating a soft, even glow that brightens the room without feeling harsh. Although it includes a convenient foot pedal switch, I actually have mine connected to a Kasa smart outlet plug so I can schedule it to turn on and off automatically. It works perfectly with that setup. Overall, this is a clean, simple floor lamp that works well in a bedroom or small living space. It’s a good option if you’re looking for functional lighting with a minimal design.
