Best magnifier I have EVER bought. The lens is as clear as glass and non-glare . It's not heavy. It has just the right lighting for me (the middle one) and it covers enough of the page. I bought this again so I can keep one at home and one in the car. It is my go-to. I have recommended this to other seniors in my language class. (We study Biblical Hebrew where every tiny dot or mark is significant). I hope that some day Magnipros will make one that recharges electrically. Meanwhile I use 3 AAA batteries (rechargable) and they last a good long while...as long as I don't forget the light on. Just love this one. Very comfortable to hold in my arthritic hands. Much better quality than even similarly-priced magnifiers. Seems very durable.

Works well and light options are nice. Magnifying quality is adequate but not excellent. It’s helpful in reading at night and in dim lighting.

I am 75, have deformed eyeballs that refract light differently, have had cataract surgery and another surgery on my eyes that require 3 pair of glasses to see at regular vision, close up, and computer/piano depths. My 6-8 hours a day work is reading old historical records, documents and books with small print. I have owned several magnifying glasses in the last 20 years, BUT NOTHING MATCHES THE QUALITY OF THIS dimmable, lighted #MagniPros magnifying glass. I am SO happy to finally find something that REALLY does what my eyes need. Because this MagniPros is dimmable it's ideal on old documents that have aged to varying degrees of darkness. Now I can read so many everyday products like laundry labels, food product ingredient, fine print instructions on RX's. I'm especially pleased that it is NOT awkward to hold - especially since I have very small hands, being 4'10" tall! I've held many heavy, clumsy magnifying glasses in libraries. When I shopped office stores to find one, I couldn't tell if they fit my hand because of the packaging! I purchased two magnifying products in August, both returned because of that problem. I went on Amazon to surf their supply and reviews. This product review answered all my questions, and I ordered one! I did notice that the MIDDLE BATTERY is not in line with the other two, and have read that some readers think that caused a problem with theirs not working after a while. I will let you know! I have grand kids that come over 3-4 times a week. They call me "Bama". Like most kids, they love magnifiers. I'm okay with this. What I'm not so okay with is, stopping what I'm doing and looking for a magnifier when I need one. And when I do find the one of the magnifiers they are encrusted with dried snot. I then have to stop what I'm doing, yet again, and clean/disinfect the crusty snot trails. By the time I'm done with all of that I forget why I wanted them in the first place! The struggle is real, people! I rec'd this today. A 3 day turn around. I guess it's okay (?) I have Prime so it really should have been here yesterday. I'm just sayin'. The magnifier itself is good. It magnifies as expected. The LED lights are bright. I like that the lights are dim-able. I don't like things too bright as bright lights induce headaches for me, which in turn can lead to migraine headaches or ocular migraines. For these reasons I have room darkening curtains in the bedroom. It the magnifier came with a small business card sized magnifier that I can go in my purse. This will come in handy when I forget my readers and can't read the menu. There is also a cleaning piece of material and a storage pouch. The bonus is that I can use this magnifier as a flashlight to find my way to bed. I can adjust the light so that it's not so bright on my husband or dogs. Overall I'm very pleased with this magnifier. This would make a nice gift for anyone that you know that could use a really nice lighted magnifying glass. By taping 3 AAA batteries to it you will have made this a perfect gift.

My first purchase was this 3x battery-charged MagniPros magnifier (ED12). When it arrived, the acrylic glass lens had some scratches, so I contacted the company's customer support directly. They offered to immediately replace the device and check the new device to ensure it was perfect. There was also no need to return the scratched device. While on their website, I noticed the 4x rechargeable MagniPros magnifier (ED14). I asked, if it was possible to upgrade the replacement to that device and I would pay the difference. No problem at all, and there wouldn't be any additional charges. When I brought both devices to the office to show our staff, they too wanted a rechargeable one. I ordered another 4x rechargeable magnifier and unfortunately that box was missing the USB charging cable. When I asked to please send us the missing USB cable, they sent us a whole new replacement device with cable! So now, I had two magnifiers (one at home and one at work) and the office had two (one for the owner and one for the staff). MagniPros has the most awesome customer service! Register the device and you'll get extended warranty for free. Our office prefers the rechargeable device, because it's lighter and easier on the wrist. It also charges rather fast. There is no noticeable difference between the 3x and 4x magnification, a fact that customer service confirmed. For the last couple of weeks, the on/off switch on my rechargeable device started acting up, to the point where I could no longer turn off the lights. I "cracked" open the device by holding the lights pointing away from me, and pushing down on the front edges and sides. It opened and exposed the switch, which is a turning wheel. I noticed that the tiny screw holding the wheel down had become loose. I tightened it and the wheel switch now works great once again. This magnifier has been a life saver and I'm most grateful to MagniPros for their excellent products and services!

Great device!

I'm amazed at how often I now reach for this mag-glass. Seems everybody is doing the 2 point font these days - so I keep this in reach. The lens is nice and clear, magnification is very good, and the dimmable light is a huge plus! All in all, I would say this is a very well thought out product - and very well made at that. Update July 2026 I have really liked these magnifiers ( I bought 2) - BUT! after a little use the covers for the battery compartments simply won't stay in place - resulting in the batteries popping out. I even wrapped the handle in packaging tape hoping that would fix the problem. Nope. The batteries still push the cover up - and just enough that the batteries are no longer seated. Hence, no light. It just seems the batteries are over wedged into place and can readily pop out. UPDATE: Gonna have to knock this rating down a peg> They offer a full year extension on the warranty but you have to be on Facebook. Sorry, I don't do facebook. Not today. Not tomorrow - and not for extending a warranty. I refuse to be their product.

We bought this for my ageing father-in-law who suffers from molecular degeneration and has done for years. He is now 84 and finding it increasingly difficult to see anything printed. Since buying this for him he has been able to make out so much more from printed pictures. This has been particularly good as he can now see his late wife's photo again, something he has been upset about not being able to see but hadn't told us until he used this little gizmo. One very happy elderly gentleman so thank you

It is very well made, magnifies clearly and has a well sized view. Left or right handed. Simple lighting system taking 3 AAA batteries. I’ve not used the lighting as yet but has ample lighting around the perimeter. Taking advantage of an extra years guarantee done softly and easily.
