It should answer your question. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works good *by A***R on August 17, 2024* Works great as advertised, the only thing I do is probably overkill on the side of safety, once I got the spring collapsed, I put a tywrap around the arms to ensure they didn’t pop off. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excelent tool *by H***A on April 28, 2024* This a small and excelent tool, easy to use. ### ⭐ This tool did not work for me. *by M***L on November 27, 2012* I am attempting my first engine rebuild and this tool did not work for me. The instructions are not very detailed, but I thought it would be fairly simple to use. I could get fairly low with the tool's arms, then compress the spring, but the keepers would never come out. It's as though the tool did the exact opposite of what it needed to do; it pulled the spring up towards the retainer washer and wedged the spring, retainer, and keepers together, leaving you unable to retrieve the keepers. To me it appeared that the product would work better if it pushed down on the retainer, thereby leaving the keepers free to come out. I then saw a video of how they were supposed to work. The saddle is supposed to "push" down on the retainer washer revealing the keepers, mine were spread to far and "saddled" the retainer, making the tool unusable. The video I watched the guy welded a bar across the saddle to keep it from spreading. I returned the item for a Lisle 36200 which appears to be an all-in-one motion for removal and installation.
