Works but at lower burning speeds
I needed to burn Windows bootable images on a DVD so I got a this pack.The first disk had scratches and burning stopped at around 20%. The next disk went till 30% but got ejected, this disc did not have any scratches yet burning failed. I then lowered the speed to 4X and the burning completed successfully. Though the manufacturer claims 16X speed support, discs don't get written successfully, again, it could be my DVD Writer (PLEXTOR) but I don't think its the problem since I burn AUDIO CDs almost every week at high speeds and no discs every get wasted.I hope this experience of mine helps.

Keeps your important files safe
Its a normal DVD which can be used to store important photos , music , documents.Keep it in vaccum sealed bag if you live in humid place, it will extend the life span of the DVD

Good quality DVDs.... Packaging is the concern...
There is no second thought needed to go for Verbatim CDs or DvDs.... They are the best ones out there... Have burnt plenty of disks... Not even a single faulty disc so far...However, while ordering from online, the only concern which I have now is on the quality of packaging...Please make sure to receive the package in a good condition...This was the 2nd time I ordered from Amazon.... Packaging was not that great as compared to that of first time... The spindle case was found to be damaged at the bottom... Luckily no discs were harmed... I request Amazon to improve on ensuring the packaging quality as these are fragile.

purchase at your risk
most of the DVDs are unusable, cant record on the disk or the disk driver stops in the middle while recording, hang etc. buy at your risk as product sent was two years old. wastage of money.

Reliable backup
Used 30 of the 50 pack, all without a single error. I have dozens of Verbatim DVDs that function reliably even after a decade. So, this set should be as reliable.
