Mine are great. I looked further into this and that logo is a logo that was retired in 2005. This information is posted in the about us - history page on Gerber's website. I would have confidence buying this knife, as long as you understand that it is an older make of it. **Q: Where is it made?** A: Package said china,but,I have to sayIf mine broke today, I'd order another one tomorrow. I've got no gripes about this knife. Hell even Buck is having some of their stuff made there. Also ,the Kershaw I was looking at was made there,and twice the price.
