All-in-One Course for Children: Lesson, Theory, Solo, Book 5 (Alfred's Basic Piano Library)

Great piano course, especially for those without a teaching experience! It has each of the Lesson, Theory and Solo lessons put together in one book. I started this system with my children because I had never taught before and wasn't sure how to put everything together. I loved it so much that I use it with all my piano students that I teach now! It's also a cheaper way to start because you only have to get one book at a time! It also cuts out a little from the regular system, which moves so slowly, so the children can progress a little faster!

I've been using Alfred's All In One for the younger beginner for over four years and my students enjoy learning from this book. What I find most appealing is the built in theory- no separate workbook required. As you progress through the book, theory exercises are incorporated so there's no "forgetting" the workbook at home or simply not doing the required, (and important), theory. Often, I do some, if not all of the theory lessons with my students.The songs increase in difficulty as the student progresses. Additionally, the kids on the cover appear 'older' as you advance in levels- something I point out to my students when they graduate into the next level. They love it!

Great book for kids.

I ordered the first 5 books of this teaching series for my young daughter to get her going on the piano. Her teacher had never used it, so I was a little cautious--but it turned out to be excellent!The book does a great job teaching finger positions, notes, symbols, etc. My daughter had such an easy time learning to play and the teacher started using this system to teach other children as a result!

Yeah, the kid Loves that he's able to take what he's learned from 1yr of violin @ school &, with the help of this book series, teach himself the piano, BUT........he hates that I'm constantly using them to try & keep up with him. Everything's explained in a beginners' (but not a dummy's), level, & it moves seamlessly from one lesson to the next. Perfect series for kids.(& curious adults)

I used these for my girls when they were young and homeschooled. Now, I’m buying them for my granddaughters!

Perfect for my granddaughter who is in book 4 but site reads everything she can get her hands on. She progressed very rapidly through Alfred's books and plays and sings beautifully. Alfred's books are clear easy to understand by a student.

I use this product while teaching my daughter and other students. It's easy enough for them to understand and to move forward to the next lesson all on their own.It is very well thought out.
