The Sunbeam Turbo 1700 Watt Steam Iron with Ceramic Soleplate and retractable cord was purchased during June of 2021 for the price of $24.71 plus tax. It's now available for $38.05 plus tax (December 2, 2024). Although I'm not entirely certain I would make the same purchase at the current price, as a person who irons before going out each day; this iron was certainly up to the task. However, I cannot attest to the overall durability of this product as there was an issue with the voltage regulation in the dwelling in which the product was used. Eventually, as a result of that voltage regulation problem, the iron became inoperable. Nonetheless, it is my opinion that this iron would still be functioning as it was designed if the voltage regulation issue had not severely truncated its longevity. Until the eventual product failure took place, it functioned as required each and every day of a 7 day week for more than a year. It should be stated that this product was not the only electrical appliance that failed under the aforementioned circumstances. So, given a situation in which there was no faulty voltage delivery, I would conjecture that this product would still be functioning as desired. Unfortunately, I do not think I would purchase this item at the current price, however!

Everything was great for really small price. Shocking how good it was for the price. Hot in ~ten seconds. Great steam. I used for pressing out dents in wood.

So far this iron has proven itself to be well worth the money and we haven't had any issues with it. It creates an awful lot of wrinkle-busting steam, and has a lot of nice features to it, like the steam and water spray, and the see-through tank that lets you easily know when you need to refill it. I haven't had any issues with filling it, and it hasn't dripped or leaked once. It has what I'd call a standard size soleplate, but the overall length of the body of the iron is somewhat larger. This is the compromise you make for having a retractable cord that winds into a space at the back of the iron. The "extra" length of the iron due to this doesn't bother me but it is worth noting. The retractable cord is a little finicky and you do need to pull and release a few times to get it to rewind all the way. But considering that is my only real "complaint" - I'm not concerned by it (even if it stopped working - I would just use it as an iron with a typical cord!) The iron is well balanced and is of a nice weight that means you don't have to be pressing down with all your strength to get those creases out - the weight of the iron helps, but it isn't a lead-weight either. Overall it has glided through many loads of laundry without any dramas, and is easy to empty, clean, fill and use. For the price, I don't think you will do better.

YAY!! SEE THROUGH WATER RESEVOIR! Proper heft to the iron so it does the work, not your arm. Perfect point for garment making and quilt piece-making; pressing strips and blocks. Quilters do not use side of iron to press the seams because of distortion, that point on iron works great. Ceramic soleplate is nice. I was used to stainless steel and can't tell the difference. Solid base for iron to rest and not tip over. Shut off time is not too short. Yay on that too. So Happy when my Rowenta, blue plastic, can't see the water refill, died. I actually rejoiced and did a happy dance at the trash can. A lot of steam irons have colored plastic water tank. WHY? you can't see how much water to fill. Item is EXACTLY AS PICTURED. White/silver trim CLEAR Water tank. PRICED RIGHT WITH WARRANTY. THANK YOU THANK YOU! I sew everyday and I'm so happy not to have to use a measuring cup and guess water line.

This is a wonderful iron. Full of steam, little weight in the iron to press out wrinkles. I’m very particular about irons. I have a few brand new irons I refuse to use and I missed the return date. I am ironing all my clothes now it’s such a pleasure to use. I highly recommend this product.

INCREDIBLE STEAM BLASTS! I am a quilter and I have an Oliso iron that was driving me bonkers every time I went to push the steam button it lifted up on me. I got over it then I bought two little smaller sized irons. They didn't last they last about 2 months. I mistakenly ordered this because it has the auto shut off I thought it was going to be smaller, it's regular sized iron but it is VERY LIGHT, and it gets very hot. The blast of steam that comes out is incredible I'm going to try and upload a video of this incredible iron!!! I just got it this week so I cannot say anything about longevity but I'll tell you right now so far right out of the box this is a very very very good iron!!?

The warranty is not a 3 year warranty as stated on Amazon. It’s 1 year. And good luck with that anyway. First the steam function stopped working, but the “steam shot” button still worked. After using the steam shot function more frequently, the button pushed fully into the machine and obviously no longer worked. I didn’t want to risk any kind of water leakage with an electrical appliance so I couldn’t even use it for regular ironing. This was at 11 months of use. I didn’t have time to contact the company until about 13 months after purchase but I thought I had a 3 year warranty anyway. After contacting them and finding out it’s actually a one year warranty and that I submitted my claim after the 1 year window had closed (by one month, ugh), I was left with a piece of junk. I hate how wasteful this is. I thought I was getting something that was going to last at least 3 years. Their customer service was completely unhelpful and offered no solution after having me fill out forms and submit photos. I switched to an older iron from my grandma that’s from the 90’s and that thing hasn’t let me down in the 3 years I’ve been using it. Aside from that I found this Sunbeam iron too lightweight to get a good press, and it also didn’t get very hot so was useless when ironing cotton. The retractable cord was nice though, I guess.

Muy buena no derrama el agua, calienta muy bien y el modo de vapor es muy bueno. Me gusta mucho que el cable viene por dentro de la plancha y se enrolla solo por lo cual es muy practica.

The iron came with an American plug and this info was not provided clearly in advance. I would not have bought it if I knew I would need a transformer at much dearer cost.

Easy to use, love the retractable cord. Like the safety shut off feature but at times can be too quick!
