It is exactly what I needed
It is perfect for drawing and reading. It is very sturdy but very light. It has tons of different ways you can use it by positioning the legs in different ways, I am able to use it for reading in bed at an angle, then change the angle to flat to rest a meal on, or raise it higher and put on a table to stand up to draw and paint, and then reduce the height and use it while sitting at a table, I love this thing! Until you get used to how to move the joints you may find it confusing, but after using it for a few hours in different positions described above I am now able to easily adjust it. The rubber lip that fits onto the front is really helpful, it makes it comfortable to rest my arm on when drawing, and it is wide enough to hold my books in place or rest pencils on.

Versatile
I needed a desk to either raise my iPad, laptop, or a book to read, because I am supposed to try not to look down due to neck issues. I tried several and ended up going with this one because of the versatility. The reason for four stars instead of five is because it is a bother to change it from one setting to another, however, because of the design, it is more versatile than anything else I looked at. I can use it in my chair, on my desktop, and even as a passenger in a car. It is very sturdy. We are in the car lot and in the front seat, because of the design, I found a way to adjust it as long as I use the armrest for the right leg and have the left leg on the seat. my husband just tested. Tell me to scoot it toward me when he needs to see in a mirror to change lanes if we are on a multilane highway. The only other downside depends on its use. The ledges, deep enough to hold a book, however, too deep, if you need to use a keyboard for an iPad, keyboard, or laptop. I may need to purchase a Bluetooth keyboard to have in my lap, because in order to have A device at a high enough level for me not to bend my neck down, I would have to have my hands and arms are a bit of an awkward angle. I only have to do minimal typing, I do put the ledge of the keyboard up on top of the ledge that holds a book in place. I have had it for a couple weeks now using it in the house and in the car and I find that it is sitting my needs quite well overall.

⭐️Exactly what I needed
Wow, thank you Uncaged Ergonomics! Post shoulder surgery, I’ve been needing something to hold my tablet, books, and puzzles at a comfortable angle, and this is amazing. It’s so much more comfortable not trying to hold on with my hands, which get tired, or prop up a book with my legs- which still cause neck tiredness from looking down. I found this easy to adjust even with an arm in a sling, and it’s just so nice to be able to get what I’m reading up to eye level and to be comfortable. I didn’t expect there to be a soft rubber sleeve included, which slides on to the lower bar where my book rests, up its so nice to also rest my wrist there as I turn pages. It’s a thoughtful feature. The whole thing is well thought out- nice and wide to go over my lap and hold any size book on its surface. I imagine it would make a nice tray for a dinner plate as well. I can’t wait to recommend it to friends and don’t know when I’ve been so happy with a purchase. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Editing to add that adjusting the side legs is not hard! You press in a button and move the legs where you want them, but you do not have to do both sides at the same time! Turn it on one end and adjust the side that’s up, then turn it on the other end and repeat. It’s also GREAT how it goes into any angle, just release the button at any point.

Extremely hard to manipulate this item to position reading material.
The box that my item came in was cracked and damaged. Could I get a new outer box for storage? The item should not have been placed against the garage trim which could have damaged the thin white trim of my garage opening. Also, the driver should have placed it in the middle against the two garage doors leaning against the cement. The item is extremely difficult to manipulate or regulate the levers. The directions are not the easiest to understand either. It would be easier with two people and hard with one. Not sure what to do about all of this since there aren't too many book holders on the market for large books. Another point that I want to add is the shelf at the bottom that holds the book should be at least a half an inch wider to substantially hold the book. Since this is meant for larger books or "text" books, why didn't the designer or manufacturer take that into consideration. I had to use an item in my house to build out out to hold the book at the bottom where the pages extended outward when open. This should be addressed.Otherwise the idea is good to allow people to have an item to hold larger books at the right angle to read. I hope the company addresses my concerns as I am design oriented, having invented some products in my household.Thank you.

My best purchase ever!
This device is so effective and easy to use, I don't know why I haven't tried to get something like this long ago. It is really lightweight yet strong and easily adjustable. I have tried it with my heaviest book, The Holy Land by David Roberts, and it works perfectly with no apparent strain at all. Previously, I had to sit at a table to read something in this book, but now I can sit much more comfortably while perusing the book's ancient pages. And even with its legs in position for use, the device doesn't take up much room at the side of my recliner. I can lift it up off the floor with one hand while seated, slide it into place, open my book on the perfectly located inclined reading surface, and sip coffee while reading from a totally weightless and perfectly situated book, no matter how big the book is. It's just great! Thank you!

Tedious to Adjust, Inconvenient, an Absolute Chore
Adjusting this thing is so obnoxious. I got it for easily switching from sitting to standing, but changing the position is not worth the time it takes. It can also easily unintentionally be made forward heavy, so it tips over. Wast of money. Works like a clunky non-functional knock off of a great idea.
