This cap has a built in porous end that captures most debris to keep it out of your paint. It can be used in combination with the original cap. For best results clean after use. If it becomes clogged, soaking with isopropyl alcohol will loosen up the dried on material. An empty jug with some hot water can be used to help flush it clean. The only issue I have is that Floetrol tends to be very thin and due to the amount of time it sits in a warehouse or on a store shelf, it can get quite lumpy. The cap works great for catching the lumps, but it can be quite a pain to have to keep unscrewing the lidwhatl and removing the lumps so the liquid can flow again.
