These end pin locks work well right out of the box on standard end pins only. If you happen to have a short stubby end pin that doubles as an audio cord jack, you've got some extra work to do. I had to widen the hole in my strap so it goes all the way over this stubby affair, flush with the body of the guitar. Then - and only then - the pin lock fit into the narrow groove in the pin and stayed secure (the groove is not wide enough for both the strap and the pin lock).
