This product and some online instructions saved my dad a lot!!
My dad was ready to call a plumber when we had to shut off the water to the sink. I ordered this online and looked at online instructions before it came. When it arrived I was ready and had it installed very quickly! I was proud of myself for the quick repair. Much less expensive than calling a plumber!

Works fine with minor issues
Stopped the leak, but now the whole assembly is “sticky”. The handle has hitch-spots when transitioning from hot to cold and reduces the pressure. It’s fine, but I’ll spend more for the Moen if I need to do it again.

Had trouble finding model number
Apparently this cartridge fits many Moen faucets. After several Youtube videos, I realized the series number was under the spout portion of my lav faucet. Because my head didn't fit under the spout, I took a phone photo of the numbers, and was then able to decide on the cartridge. Disassembly went well until I tried to removed the old cartridge. It had to be twisted many times more than the "pro" on the video implied. Also the new cartridge required more force to install than I thought it would take. The rest of the install went well, and I think the faucet actually works smoother than when it was new, and no more water running down the side of the handle.

Stopped the drip..
Had a 40 year old faucet with a constant drip. Did some research and determined it was a Moen 1200 cartridge - and that this 1225 was a replacement. Getting the old cartridge out required a special tool. Was even more difficult because of its age. But once out, this new replacement cartridge was a snap to put in. Once everything was reassembled and the water turned On - the faucet worked like new. Water came out when it was supposed to, and stayed in when the faucet was turned Off. No more drip, which makes me happy.
