The shock from the device is like after shuffling your feet across carpet. . . but the kids don’t know that. This device did an absolutely great job of getting confessions out of our kids: ‘who knocked over that plant’, ‘who took the airpods?’. oh this is a certainly just a toy but it is a keeper

This toy was a huge letdown. The materials feel cheap, and the shocking feature stopped working after just a few uses. It’s also not as fun as it seems, as the "lie detection" is completely random and doesn’t add any value to the game. Save your money and look for a better party gadget.
