Bought for my Skyreach 4 Mini. Full-time Noctua convert.

I didn't always pay -that- much attention to what fans I used. Most of the time, I'd rescue them out of retired builds and cases, and recycle them into new systems as a sort of "tribute" to the predecessor. When I set out to build my Skyreach PC, which was my console-killer wet dream, I knew each part going in needed to be the best possible in it's class. I initially bought the NH-L9i in Chromax Black and was so impressed by it, I decided to go full Noctua in this system. I replaced the GPU fans (noisy, kinda whiny and frankly too tall to fit) with these fans, and it's been great.I was actually surprised at how well they performed at low-speeds in tasks where noise was a concern. That said, they can get LOUD. ASUS Fan Xpert allows you to crank all connected fans to max speed and this little box becomes a jet engine. Add to that the vortexing issue with this case and things became unbearable. However, flipping the fans worked splendidly (from push to pull) and the avg temp jumped only 5c. With a mild undervolt and some fine-tuning, I had a quiet, high pressure fan that did a decent enough job repelling dust and keeping components cool.In comparison to other fans I have used over the years, I find the pitch and tone of the fan sound to be more pleasant to the ear. You'll find that most fans don't have -that- much different fanning abilities from their immediate competition, but you will HEAR the difference. I do prefer these greatly. The added bonus? No more puke brown, although I do have a slight fondness for that hilariously-outdated color scheme. I imagine the brand recognition factor is also there. And in the RGB era, seeing a brand stand up against competition without the pretty lights to mask any quality defects is refreshing and inspiring. If I had to gripe about one thing it'd be the price. You pay a -little- more than you would from competitors but honestly, you get something truly special with this company. Quality European engineering at it's best. All in all, these are incredibly well-engineered fans with the pedigree to boot. I will be using Noctuas in future situations that require low-noise, high static pressure fans. These are great. And they're kinda blingy, in their own cool way. Definitely a quiet flex.

Quiet, thin, and powerful

Replaced the pull fan on my push-pull CPU cooler. It's half the width of the fan it replaced, but it weighs nearly twice as much so I reckon it has more power and I can feel the exhaust on the back of the computer has increased even though this fan only blows towards the exhaust fan. It seems to be quieter, but the fan it replaced was becoming deafening so it is difficult to compare. Appreciate the all-black color without RGB lighting.

Replaced Lian-Li PSU fan with this

replaced a Lian-Li PSU fan with this (pay a professional to do this, I am a professional). Its extremely quiet and very efficient in airflow and keeps the PSU much cooler than the stock fan.

Works just as good as fans twice as thick

Got these to replace some fans that came with my NAS enclosure. After installing some adapters on the backplane, the provided fans were just slightly too big and the back panel wouldn't fit without some uncomfortable pressure.Got these and replaced the factory fans. I love that the power connector is so short! I already had cables running to the area and didn't need to zip tie up any slack.Airflow is the same, but these are easily half the thickness. System is super quiet. Love the black color of these. I know noctua is good quality, though the beige and brown they usually do is pretty awful for my tastes. The colored anti-vibration pads are fine. I just used the black ones because I'm basic.

There’s legitimate reasons to why so many people buy noctua products.

Great replacement for any 92mm fan. Cooled the thermalright axp90-x47 like a charm. Didn’t have the same max speed as oem fan on cooler, but the noise profile of the noctua is just more pleasant, it’s hard to describe it but it just sounds better and cools the same if not better. It won’t ever happen, but there’s so many other brands that are catching up to noctua’s build quality and performance, so I hope the competition can bring some of these prices down a bit. But I get it, you get what you pay for and the warranty and pedigree of noctua is top notch. Minor gripe, I didn’t like how there’s adhesive colored rubber pads that I had to install, I get the customization aspect, but if one build I want it black the next build I want red, if I ever want to revert back to black pads, I can’t because it’s not a reusable pad.

Installed this Fan on my Nh-D15

This fan fits perfectly next to the Corsair Vengeance RGB ram sticks. I would highly recommend this fan so you can still run 2 fans on your noctua nh-d15 cpu cooler. It’s very quiet and efficient. Cpu temps went down to 5-10 degrees compared to only running the one stock fan for the cooler. I used the existing hardware wire clips from the nh-d15 kit and it fit perfectly on it. It was pretty easy to install overall.

Reasonable slim fan, still not whisper quiet when your SFFPC is sitting on your desk

This is a slim (14mm thick) variant of a typical 92mm fan (24mm thick) with a PWN connector for its speed and hence noise to be controlled via the BIOS making it suitable as a CPU fan. It is definitely intended for small form factor PCs.Noctua is known for its low noise profile. It can get loud. And it can operate at 0 rpm which is a neat feature that doesn't happen much in practice with today's hot CPUs. I had to adjust the fan curves in the BIOS to get something I liked. The stock AMD fan had a really annoying noise profile. It's an improvement over AMD's fan. But when compared to Thermaright's slim 92mm fan the differences are less pronounced. Perhaps one sounds better at lower RPMs than the other which sounds better at higher RPMs, but it's kind of hard to describe and probably more subjective. Honestly both are fine, and they seem to cool the CPU at the same temperatures at the same RPMs.My gripe is really with how AMD CPUs really boost their thermals rapidly and that kicks on fans which is quite hard to mitigate with adjusting the fan curves In the BIOS.Unfortunately, the seller isn't inspecting returns and mine was missing four of the black rubber adhesive corners. Otherwise it looked new and was undamaged. This ruins the athletics a bit but I decided to live with it.
