I saw this advertised on a different site for twice the price. So was happy to have found it for a more reasonable cost on amazon. It’s a cute addition to my living room. It came in a ginormous heavy box. Was not difficult to put together by myself. The trunk is hard plastic in segments that fit over a central pole and and the levels screw onto the central pole between the trunk segments keeping them in place. It is heavy and sturdy. Good for climbing. My cat loves it. His favorite game now (a sentiment not shared by the dogs) is playing death from above. He hides behind the leaves and peaks out at the dogs. Then drops onto them like a leopard on a gazelle. Lots of fun for the cat. The dogs are slowly learning to avoid kitty’s death tree. He enjoys sharpening his claws on the grassy bit. And he will lay under the tree on the grass sometimes, like it’s a shade tree. He is getting exercise by climbing it. Now he can run right up it to the top without pausing. He gets quite the arm workout going between the levels when he dead lifts himself with his front paws, like he’s doing dips. The dogs have noticed and again are becoming more wary. So in short: cat gives it five stars. Dogs are wondering about the return policy.

So at first I couldn't get this cat haven tree house tower to be stable. When I put it together it was completely wobbly as others had posted in their reviews. I tried loading the base with something heavy as one reviewer had suggested to no avail. I was frustrated beyond belief. I had my husband take a look at it and within 30 minutes he figured it out. Here is the missing piece of information no one has seemed to write into their review. The top piece platform that goes on last, the hole that you place the rod into actually has a screw thread in it. So in order to secure the whole tree as stable and not wobbly, without adding extra parts from the hardware store, you have to turn the top piece of platform to screw in the entire tree into place. You're virtually screwing the piece of platform on and as you twist it locks the other pieces and the center pole into place. Keep turning until it's all tight and locked into place. You won't need extra parts I promise.Now that it's assembled completely and stable, my cats LOVE it!!! I have 2 kitties and one of them is 20 lbs. He likes to jump on the top platform and survey his kingdom, and peek out from between the branches. Definitely get this for your cats! It's a great buy, comparable in price to other cat trees but it actually resembles a tree which makes it more appealing to both cat and owner.

I've had this tree not quite six months. While the cats really loved it, it just now splintered apart from the top and broke, with one cat climbing on the top level, and the other below that. One was slightly hurt, both are really spooked. In observing the construction, the area that anchors to the metal post is of a cheap particle board that for whatever reason just tore apart when a nine pound cat jumped on it. This is not sturdy and not safe, and I'm really upset that my cats were injured and scared by shoddy construction. Very, very upset.Update to the review: the company was kind enough to send another top perch, and said that the problem was very rare, and that the designers were addressing the issue...so, they are responsive and kind, and I do appreciate that. However, after reinstalling, I just no longer felt confident about it, plus the cats have not gone near that area since the accident. Therefore, since they're now frightened of the product, and I feel paranoid about it too, we have discontinued its use entirely. A real shame. I'm currently seeking a solid wood replacement, locally crafted. The makers were very nice about this, but ultimately the risk was not worth it. I do however feel it would be perfectly safe for small kittens.

I had this tree for less than a week.I assembled it, and it felt very wobbly. Broke it down, started over, and it was still wobbly. I put it in the corner of a room with added support on two sides from the walls. My cat was apprehensive about the tree because it was so wobbly.I've noticed that even some of the positive reviews of the tree note that the tree is wobbly. If it's wobbly when you first set it up, what's it going to be like a few months later? It'll probably topple over onto someone! It's not made to last.Today, I read a recent review that advises using some extra washers and nuts to reinforce the shoddy construction and make the tree usable. After scrolling through a couple of other reviews, I've seen others say the same. Might be indicative of a problem?I was going to disassemble the whole thing and put it back together with the extra parts. I unscrewed the top perch. The screw mount at the bottom of the perch had burst through the cardboard-like material. I've attached a pic. I'm so glad I discovered this issue on my own before the tree collapsed on my cat.I see that another customer had this issue, and the perch fell on her cats. Poor things! The manufacturer said that it was caused by "overtightening upon installation." Well, why is that even possible? Also, you wouldn't need to "overtighten" it if the tree was actually stable in the first place.I had cheapo Armarkat tree for years. It cost about half the price as this tree, and while it didn't look pretty, it was much more stable, and it never broke!I'm sending the broken tree back.

We were so excited for this. But it’s not as good as it looks in the photos and it’s super expensive. You could easily add leaves to a standard cat tower and be happier and spend way less.

I usually replace my cat tree every 3rd year, and this time decided to buy something different. It was twice as much as I usually spend but it was worth it. My cats usually take a month to warm up to a new tree, but with this one it took them like an hour. They love it! It’s so sturdy, and despite not having ladders and toys on it, the cats seem to play in it so much more! Not to mention the assembly was a breeze

This tree tower is made from what we can only guess might be a cheap particle board perhaps MDF. It emits a continuous obnoxious odour and absolutely stinks. Is it formaldehyde off gassing? We don't know but something offensive is. We received it only four days ago and have tried to return it but Amazon indicates "This item is not eligible for return". We don't know why it can't be returned even after reviewing Amazon's return policy. Don't buy this product. We're going to have to replace the offending parts with another material. This just adds to the already very expensive initial purchase price and adding time making it a DIY fixer.

My cat is still in love with this months and months later. It really look more like a bush then a tree, but I don’t care about that. It’s worth the 400 because she hasn’t got board of it and the branches are easy to replace I want to get the shelves to go with it!

I love this product. I think it looks cool. A great place for cats to hang out and stalk things outside of the window. It just depends on your cat.It was easy to assemble.It was a little on the pricey side but quality is very good.

My 3 cats love their tree. I hung a few noisy mice on the branches. They love to sleep on it while laying in the sun. Great entertaining for them. Plus a conversation piece

Took our two cats a few days to get used to it, but they now just love it. The tree was very to put together - nice, clear instructions.
