Way better then my Breville!
We use this juicer for celery juice or wheatgrass juice. (Most powerful elixirs on the planet!) The Omega creates almost 30% more juice then my Breville high speed juicer. It takes slightly longer, but it's well worth it. Celery juice first thing in the morning pretty much guarantees that your day is going to be the best day of your life. It's crazy alkalizing and puts you into zen blissfulness. Wheatgrass juice helps you detox from flouride (which causes acne and skin problems) in addition to the other health benefits.Needless to say, this juicer makes it easy to create both juices. Super easy to clean, too. That's always an important facet. I simply spray a few pieces with hot water and I'm set. Then run them in the dishwasher once a week for a deeper clean. If you live in a city with hard water, you'll probably need to run in the dishwasher daily.Another thing I like is the juice seems much greener and denser. Seems like it's more nutritious.I did a thorough review of all juicers on the market, and then reviewed the Omega line. This type of juicer creates the least amount of heat, so it's less damaging to the veggies. And it came in as number one for best consumer reviews. I chose the NC900HDC model because it's heavy duty, has a bigger chute thing at the top, and the parts are BPA free.Juice recipes:Celery and nothing else - best possible juice you can make. Great for detox, cleansing, organ movement, stomach acid, and hydration. (Thanks for the tip Anthony Williams)Celery, cucumber, and kale stems - great for a morning wake me up and ultra hydration and nourishment. I think kale is highly nutritious, but it's important to eat the fiber too. So if you save the stems and eat the leaves, the stems come in handy for juicing!Wheatgrass shots - sort of like an expresso shot. It packs a punch and will detox you from fluoride and metals. It's powerful, so maybe start with half a shot.Optional: add a lemon and/or lime for citrus love, to kill bacteria, and for extra hydration. (Bacterium hates citrus!!)Additional tips:Absolutely get a small strainer (see photo). You want the juice to be as bioavailable as possible without activating your digestive system. It's night and day. Without a strainer, I could drink maybe 8-12oz at a time. With a strainer, I can pound 24oz on an empty stomach. When cleaning, push the catcher bin under the juicer to catch dripping juice and save yourself a paper towel. Do this while you drink and clean up. See photoUpdate April 2019: I've juiced every single morning since I've bought this. I'll never go back. Daily wake up at 2:45, drink juice by 3am, then meditate with a belly full of bliss.. then start my day! Stress and anxiety can't touch me! (Side note, what are people juicing to break their screens? I've had zero problems with any of my parts since day one and I use daily.. sometimes 2-3x a day too.)

The Best Omega, Yet
Outstanding. This is my 3rd Omega juicer. The first one I had for nearly 15 years. Eventually, I upgraded, although the juicer still worked, it was ready for retirement, and I wanted a newer model. I bought an Omega similar to this one (sorry, I can't remember the model number), but the chute was smaller. Amazing machine. Loved it. But I completely trashed it through no fault of the machines -- a long complicated story, involving a move, not paying attention, and some strange once in a lifetime variables. After two years, I trashed my beloved second Omega, that I used for everything, including wheatgrass. As I had a lot of life changes going on, I picked up a much less expensive Breville to get me through for a while. Was not happy. Although it did give me "juice," the amount of waste in the pulp was painful to see, and I'm not one to spend the time to re-juice pulp. It's a messy, time consuming process. I gifted much of the pulp to friends for compost (I don't have a composter set up, yet), and could use some pulp for soup bases, raw crackers, etc., but I wanted more JUICE, less waste. The cheap Breville lasted me less than two years, and then it busted.I stepped up to the plate and bought this Omega. The best Omega I've owned yet.Love, love, love the larger chute. Yes, it's slow, but the pulp is nice and dry, and I know that it's extracted as much juice as possible. For those who don't like using the masticating juicer for softer items (e.g., apples, cucumbers), there's an old juicing trick that holds true for anything softer: just put in a few softer items, and then the really hard fibrous greens or roots (beets, carrots, sweet potato) or celery. Mix up hard and soft items, alternate, and everything will go through fine.Machine clean-up takes a minute. While a masticating juicer does take longer to juice than a faster machine, the clean-up is much quicker and easier. And the larger chute is wonderful -- still some chopping of some things required, but the trade-off is a fully extracted juice with as little waste as possible.I adore this machine. In a strange way, I feel no regrets about the second machine being accidentally trashed, because I would have used it for fifteen years, and this machine was worth the wait, with its larger chute, increased efficiency, and better juice and pulp holders.Well worth the wait.Highest recommendations.p.s. Over the years, I've dealt with Omega customer service many times, and they have always been fantastic. Another reason I'm a loyal Omega customer.
