3M KTS-DL1 Design Line Knifeless Tape - 50m (164ft)

Love using 3M knifeless tape, design line over finish line for ever scenario IMO. Easy to use, good quality, works great.. sometimes it doesn't want to stick well but if you hit it with some heat it tacks up nicely.

Performed as it should, no issues. This is a must have if you do a lot of vinyl wrapping.

I’ve used the 3M KTS DL1 Design Knifeless Tape on a few vinyl wrap jobs and it’s performed great every time. The tape cuts clean and smooth, making it easy to get sharp lines without risking damage to the paint. It saves time and gives a very professional finish, especially on detailed areas. Definitely a must-have if you do vinyl wraps regularly.

We use this stuff at the shop regularly and it’s cheaper to buy here than from my distributors. Designline has a stretchy thread that you can rip by hand, designed for curves and tight shapes, Finishline has a non-stretch thread that doesn’t rip by hand and is best suited for straight lines and moderate curves. Each have their caveats, Designline’s string can rip as you are cutting and Finishline’s string can slip out if you make too tight of a turn and put too much tension on the tape while applying it. Designline also can end up more wobbly for straight lines in contrast to Finishline. We primarily use Designline for everything now. Learn how to use it, getting the first cut started is always tricky for beginners.

Clean line every time. I own a business of wrapping the cars and this was game changing every time I am scare of cutting on the paint. I place this tape and slice through with cleaned line with no harm to paint. Values for the money is definitely high this case but quality out performs. It has decent adhesion if surface not prep or cleaned properly but quality works when proper prepped.

First time i have used knife tape and it worked perfect. i do suggest watching some videos to see some of the tricks to making your job much better. Make sure you leave a bit extra and the ends so you can get a clean start.

Bought this as it was recommended from a place that does vinyl wraps on cars and my son wanted to try so we ordered some to try with vinyl we had. Worked great!! Just watched some you tube to learn how.
