This is easy to set up, easy to clean, and keeps food off the floor. We have an inglesina chair on our kitchen table but we can’t put it to the edge, so this thing is a hero. Keeps so much food from our dog’s mouth and my daughter can just scoop it up and keep eating. When she’s done it just wipes down easy or you can rinse it in the sink.

We bought this for our son for when we go out or travel, to try and minimize messes and also make sure he has a clean surface to eat off of. When he first used it at 9 months, he kept trying to pull it off the table and play with it, so we ended up putting it away for a couple of months. He’s now 1 year and understands that it’s not a toy. It’s really useful and we’ve had people ask where we got it when we’re out and about. I like the little edge catcher, since sometimes he’ll knock something into it that he didn’t mean to. It also really does help to keep messes contained, although not always. We used it tonight at a restaurant and while he had crumbs on his pants, there was very little on the floor underneath his high chair. We shook off the excess, wiped it off with baby wipes, and rolled it up to stuff in the diaper bag. It gets washed properly when we get home. Since it’s silicone, food doesn’t stick as much, so there’s very little scrubbing. I’m planning to buy this for three different coworkers who’ve recently had babies, unless they get something similar first.

We got this placemat because we needed a way to keep the food that doesn't make it into our toddler's mouth off the table as much as we could. This has been a really nice addition to mealtime...while he still manages to get food on other areas of the table and floor, this has really reduced the amount of cleanup we are doing. At the end of mealtime, we're able to roll it up and clean it off or put it in the dishwasher. Our table is finished wood so the suction isn't great, but it stays well enough and when we put his plate on it, it holds up a little more. We placed on our granite countertop for comparison and it does stick just fine there, just FYI. The food catcher hangs a little low instead of straight out, but that doesn't bother us too much...it actually works pretty nicely in keeping some of the food off his lap and catches it before it hits the floor! If the suctioning was more secure on our table, I'd give 5 stars. Overall, though, I would recommend given the size and ease of cleanup, even with the moderate suctioning on our table.

I was looking forward to having this for my toddler to catch food instead of it landing on the floor or her pants. Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. First of all, there's no suction. It's grippy silicone. It does a decent job of staying in place, as long as you have a clean surface big enough. But the grippiness is also its downfall. This kind of material always collects hair and dirt like mad. 2 minutes out of the packaging and it was already filthy. And the large size and odd shape makes it awkward to clean and not easy to load in the dishwasher.The other failure is that there's no structure supporting the food catcher on the front. So if the lip of your table is too thin, it just droops down. Once it begins filling with dropped food, it becomes too heavy and lessens the ability to actually catch food, as it hangs down at too low of an angle. It even becomes likely that food can drop out.It does a good job of keeping the table top clean. But any placemat can do that, and it's easier to clean your table than this thing. It's slightly better than nothing, but I wouldn't spend any money on it again. We'll probably give it away.

UPDATE: I have had this placemat for 6 months now, used it 3x a day at least, brought it on vacation & washed it in the dishwasher daily. It's just now starting to tear in a few places. I'm back for another one, because there's no going back. This mat stays in place, and has the perfect size catch-all for food.Genius. I had to talk myself into the price for one single mat, but it is worth every single penny. This is one of those things you think, "why didn't I think of this!?"This is the only mat we use. Almost nothing gets on the floor or our daughter's lap.I love that it has a little hole on the top corner. I use this to hang it to dry from my upper cabinets.

Great purchase. We bring this with us when we go out to eat. It folds up and fits in the diaper bag. The tray catches the food our toddler drops, and we don’t have to worry about him eating directly off the potentially dirty restaurant table. People always comment on it: “Wow that’s such a good idea” or “I wish I had that when my kids were little” or “Where did you get that?”Only downsides are that it doesn’t stay on all tables - the table surface has to be grippy for silicon - and that it’s so large that it’s hard to wash (I wash by hand). However, I would buy this again!

I got this to hopefully help all the food that would fall between the table and my son’s high chair and onto the floor. However, the catching tray is heavy and once it had a bit of food in it, it would slide right off the table. I used it about three times before giving up and throwing it away.

The media could not be loaded.  Love the color, ease of cleaning and size. Love that it catches the food that’s is dropped. my son has CP and it helps keep his plate in one place while eating. Unfortunately I have yet to figure out how to keep it from sliding off the table. Overall I like it and it helps my son be independent without making a total mess.

Sticks very well on the table and is easy to wash in the sink.Very usefull with a toddler.

Does not suction to the table as described

Love this! Great for the kitchen helper stool at the counter or at the kitchen table. Prevents a lot of stuff from ending up the on the floor/on the lap getting clothes dirty etc. So easy to take off and clean but also doesnt slip around. Only downside for me (my fault) is that you should check the height/design of your kitchen helper stool/counter. Ours is the same height as the counter/and has thick edge so the part of the mat that hangs down doesn't sit perfectly.

Es kommt gerollt. Haben es nun drei Tage liegen lassen und es kommt weder in Form hoch haftet es an einem von beiden Esstischen. Weder am großen noch am Kindertisch hält es. Wurde gekauft weil es mit rutschfest beworben wird. Fehlanzeige.
