This is exactly what I needed to connect a 10mm rod on a fan to a Ram ball and socket mount.The opening for the 10mm rod was fine. I had to use the screw to pull the two sides together to get it to grip the rod so that the rod would not spin, but that is because the two sides of the top og the mount are very beefy and require some force to bring them together. I was able to do this with an allen wrench with my fingers, so this wasn't a difficult thing to do.Pros:Solid build. Smoothly machined and nice finish. Light weight. Compact.Cons:Holes are 30mm center to center, while standard mounting hole patterns are 32mm center to center.The holes on one side of all of the blocks was slightly closer to the edge than the other holes on each block, so the 30 mm center to center hole pattern was slightly off center to the slipt on the top.

Nicely made and tolerances are tight

Tolerance was so bad on one I couldn't even crank the screw enough to clamp down my rod.

Worked as advertised

No issues.

You get what you pay for. These technically function for their intended purpose, but out of the four of them, with the set screw completely removed, one was so tight I had to hammer the rod into it, two were so loose that the rod could slide completely through it freely, and one was nice and snug, like I would have expected all of them to be.

Sturdily made, solid lockdown, good precision.
