Just as advertised: Good Quality
First thing I checked was the interior pockets and see if my 15 inch laptop fit. Which it does, snug & secure, flush against your back. There is a elastic/velcro strap to secure laptops so they do not move around. There is a zipper pocket immediately above the laptop pocket that should accommodate most chargers (it's about 6" deep and 10" wide). The 2 open pockets are around 5" deep and 4" wide, good for computer accessories, wallets, makeup, keys etc.The brown outside pocket is secured by a magnet, so the belt is functional but cosmetic. The magnet is fairly strong and will resist opening against reasonable force. I put a 1lb external battery charger in and shook it vigorously to simulate running with/swinging the bag during everyday use. Right-side-up it never opened, and up-side-down it resisted for several thrusts. This pocket is suitable for many lighter objects you may need quick access to, like a metro pass or phone. All the stitching seems very durable. I tugged all over the backpack and it felt solid. The Canvas material is thick and waxy. I have not tested it in heavy rain, but I did splash water on it and pour a cup of water over the outside. The water beads and rolls off, instead of being absorbed (some is still absorbed). The inside and outside are independent layers of material, so the outside would have to be very very wet to effect the inside. Perfect for reasonable exposure to rain/snow, acceptable for short exposure to heavy rain.Very high quality for the price. Also the aesthetics are a nice change from the herschel/jansport backpacks I see everywhere. I would get this, or a similar backpack for this price again.

Looks exactly like the picture, great quality!
Looks exactly like the picture! Great color! I'm a full time student and was a bit apprehensive about switching from my usual Swiss Gear backpack. I was worried that this backpack wouldn't be big enough or be able to accommodate my 13" laptop, all my notebooks, and the hundred other things I carry daily. Honestly, it fits everything perfectly! It feels really sturdy, is nicely double lined on the inside, and is comfortable to wear. My expectations were definitely exceeded! (Plus it looks like a backpack a hobbit would use to trek across Middle Earth, who doesn't love that?)

Smart, sturdy bag for everything
The more I use it, the better it gets. The roll top allows you to pack longer and odd shaped items when needed. The zippered top secures contents when bag upends or tips over. The outside pocket holds phone, keys, whatever you need quickly and secures with a magnet, no wrestling with buckles (it's just decorative). The two deep side pockets hold two water bottles easily. Plenty of pockets and storage inside. The canvas is stiffer than most packs but keeps it shape which I like. Shoulder straps are not overly padded but contours to my narrower shoulders unlike a lot of packs. The handle is attached well and comfortable to use. The straps securing the rolled top are easy to use, no buckles to fight with and the stay close to the bag when closed. This is the first canvas pack I have owned, but it won't be my last.

Very versatile bag. I love it!
I lost my favorite backpack to a mouse attack recently. I had that backpack for years and never thought I’d find one I’d like as much. But boy did I ! This back pack is great. I might say even better than my old friend. It has great pockets inside and out. I love the leather straps and the versatility in size. I can stuff it full or roll down the top and have a smaller backpack. The shoulder straps are super comfortable. I would recommend this bag.

Looks great and well made. Might just order an extra.
Very durable and can be used for so many things. Everyday use or camping and hiking. Deep interior and well made. Zipper and roll down and fasten features give added security to your belongings. Fits comfortably on your back without being to low or to high. Great quality.

I adore this backpack
Have used it for about a week now and I sincerely love it. The top part that unrolls can be used to make your carrying space larger, which I thoroughly enjoyed. 10/10!

Really excellent quality. I love the rustic feel of the leather and canvas, it's water resistant which is great. Plenty of room for a school backpack, or a day pack for adventuring. I ordered the black and it's more of a grey charcoal color which I love.

Terrible! Within 1 month the strap ripped, and now the zipper doesn't work!
This backpack is a great purchase if you hate your life and love wasting money. Honestly, I had it for one month and one of the straps started to tear. I yelled to the skies 'WHY ME, MARGARET!? WHYYYY!???' But alas, Margaret could not help me that day. She had driven off a cliff only days earlier, and was consumed by wild mongoose on the coast of Oregon. And then, just when my life couldn't suck any more, THE ZIPPER CAME OFF IT'S THREADS, NEVER TO ZIP AGAIN!!! I yelled to the skies 'WHY ME, DEBRA!? WHYYYY!?!?!?' But then I remembered that Debra was in the car with Margaret, and she's now mongoose chowder also. Anyway, long story long, this backpack is seriously BS, and you should buy another brand immediately. It's a total waste of money, and uncomfortable, and will probably give you some weird rash eventually. Also, RIP Margaret and Debra. They were the salt of the earth.
