THIS ONE IS NIT A RECHARGEABLE VERSION. You want a quiqlite x for that. This still works well. Just needs cr 2025 button cells.If you work a night shift, you will most likely use this a lot. 40 hrs of runtime goes fast and not being able to recharge in the go isn't the best option.Blue contrasts well and doesn't flood out text (red light, though great for night vision, makes red text hard to read)Where you gonna get button cell batteries at 330 AM in the middle of the county?I'll keep it anyway, but will be considering an X model.

I work the night shift and this thing is invaluable to anyone who has to write reports and you don't want to stick your flashlight in your armpit. Click the light on and you have both hands free to do your work. The only flaw I can tell it the top part of the light is clear so when you click it on it is probably going to shine in your face. I didn't like that so I put a black piece of tape over it and it now functions perfectly.

Love it. My first Quiklite lasted almost 10 years. Had to replace a couple batteries but it is a solid product. I think the older product is slightly better built. But you need this item if you do traffic stops and contacts at night. It doesn’t affect your night vision and being hands free is extremely important. I turn this on when searching cars or trunks and need to be hands free. I would recommend the 75 lumens model as it is more versatile.

If you want a real, durable, dependable light, look into a Streamlight 14032 Sidewinder. $20 more but way more options.This product was not worth the $30. As conveniently small and thin as it may be, it was a cheap product. I thought it to be more durable or made of stronger material. The lights are also not as bright as they are said to be. I regret purchasing this and the product description is misleading.As for the Streamlight 14032 Sidewinder, one that I currently have and use daily, it has 4 light settings: White, blue, red, and IR. Each one with 4 different levels of brightness. Strong, sturdy, metal clip, and 180° rotating light. Highly recommend it, very reliable.

The light was okay before it broke, but I found myself using a pen-style aluminum flashlight clipped to my shoulder instead. The brightness wasn't really as much of an issue as the field of light was. After all, I don't need 1000 lumens to write something onto a notebook. However, I was restricted in where I had to hold the notebook and fidgeting with the angle of the hinged light.It broke during my first use of force with it, which wasn't anything but taking someone to the ground and struggling for like 5 seconds to get his hands behind his back. The light was even on or at an extended position when it began either. I also didn't have that plastic tongue thing on it either.Get the aluminum one or just get a two-pack of penlights for $15 and clip them to the shoulder of your vest.

I purchased this as part of a surprise gift for my fiancé when he was promoted. It has a very slim profile and clipped nicely to the front of his vest that has the Molle setup. He works night shift and the pivot light is GREAT! It makes reading DLs and any other paperwork a breeze without tying up his hands. Also the adaptability for wearing Class A uniforms and it being able to fit in a pocket and still work is a HUGE plus. I will purchase this again.

I ordered three different lights to make night time traffic stops easier. This light although the most expensive of the three…performs the worst of the three. Not bright enough to write a cite.

This is an update on the product after a couple of years of use and a previous review.. I still like this product and continually use it, but it seems to have one design flaw (which prompted me to purchase a new one recently): The light itself easily slides out of the MOLLE- compatible clip. My previous one is now probably in the hands of a capable flight attendant when it slid off the clip on a flight. I've noticed it a couple of times but was always able to find/catch it before it became lost. Still worth the money, just be careful if you place it on the outside of packs and the like that you're sliding around.
