After reading the mixed reviews, I decided to buy a dedicated grinder instead of replacing the grinder attachment for my Kitchen Aid mixer. I cannot get the quality Italian or other sausage I am used to where I live now so make my own. I originally had the local butcher grinding my meat but I wanted to have more flexibility and control over the meat used. I now select my meat directly and grind it myself so I know exactly what I am getting. This grinder makes it really easy. You need to follow the instructions. Contrary to some reviews, it says not to put any of the parts in the dishwasher so you have to clean them the old fashioned way with soapy water and a brush. It's worth it. I don't use casings; I just form the sausage, wrap it in plastic wrap, and freeze it. It holds its shape while cooking and no casing.

Love this machine. I've been using a manual meat grinder for 3 years now to make my cats food and finally decided to try an electric one. I was hesitant cuz they always say don't grind bones, and I need to grind chicken bones and this machine does it just fine! I know it says not to but I had to try. I'm tired of doing it manually. I'm super happy, I've used it quite a few times now and it works perfectly. And so fast! Very easy to use and clean.

My dogs eat raw chicken but I was always worried about the bones causing an internal problem. Also, the crunching sounds while they enjoyed their raw thighs was always a bit disturbing.. I searched for a reasonably priced grinder, without many parts that I won't use, and found this one. It is perfect! It easily handles the bones in the thighs and drumsticks. It is loud, but that is fine....it masks the sound of my retching as the bowl fills with ground, raw bird. The handy storage for the parts also serves to push the meat down into the grinding mechanism. Great buy!

Love this grinder. I make my own dog food from fresh chicken and beef. My only problem is when I try to grind up the organ meats of the chickens. The grinder gets plugged up. Its well worth the price though since it grinds up the bones in the chicken as well so that my dogs get the whole chicken.

Used this to grind meat for sausage. Worked wonderfully.

After using this for about 10min and not a whole lot of meat being processed nor did the meat look very good I thought something had to be up. So I took apart the grinder again and upon further inspection I realized the blade had been installed backwards.. the way the blade goes in looks the wrong way but man, once I got the thing the right way it was just eating the meat. I went through about 8lbs of beef in about 2min. Thing works great! Makes really nice hamburger meat, excited to try the attachments for making sausages. I would highly recommend this item! I love it!

We grind our own beef and pork as well as nuts for baking. It does a great job and cleans up nicely. We even gave these as Christmas gifts.

I just received this today. I used it and heard a grinding noise and metal pieces were grinding into the meat. I took it apart and found where it was grinding against itself. WTH?! Wasted a pound of meat!!

Use it for about 3 months now.Proc: powerful, easy to store, easy to use, easy to clean, no hidden specificity, light weight. Special feature: overload protection switch.Cons: not too powerful (not for bones or tough items), not allowed for dishwasher.The product arrived safely packed, all parts were enclosed, none of the issues with parts or assembly. All essential parts are made of strong and light stainless alloy, well polished, so, grinding stuff does not stick anyhow. The knife and grid are made of stainless steel but very strong one. I was really surprised with its ability to grind: we tried all kind of meat, including fat and veins - no issues, no any visible difference for the machine. The only stuff causing it to stop was sticky and tough mix of dates, nuts and some other things which my wife mixed together and decided to grind after that.Disassembling and cleaning - not a problem. Within three months I could not notice any traces of wearing of knife or other parts.

I like this grinder. Solid design. It provides perfect result of various kinds of food. Does not get stuck as my previous one. Standard #8 fits perfectly. The only minor issue it is very loud with unpleasant high pitch noise.

I like the all metal components of the grinder for the ease of cleaning and sanitizing. appreciate the reverse feature to back out material that may bind. So far I have made 10 lb of saugage and five lb of regular burger and am very happy with performance.two less than perfect things. It is a bit noisy and sausage making seems to need two people.

Solid well made food-meat grinder. Great quality item. Do the job very well. Easy to clean.
