Amazon Essentials Men's Cotton Ankle Socks, Comfortable, Moisture Wicking, Cushioned, 10 Pairs

I took a chance on these socks because I liked the fact that they have more cotton in them than most of the other socks in this style. I like the feel, and comfort of cotton over straight polyester. Plus, I think they wick moisture better than polyester. Keeping my feet drier in the heat. One feature I particularly like about these socks is they seem to be double reinforced on the underside with almost a terry cloth feel to them. They provide that little extra cushion and comfort. Size wise they are pretty true. I bought the 12-14 size and I'm a 13. I will say that size 14 feet might be a little close, as these are just right for me. I saw some reviews noting shrinkage. My cure for that (in all clothes where potential shrinkage is a concern), is I part-dry them for about 20 minutes on low, just to get some softener on them and most of the moisture out. Then hand stretch them back slightly and air dry the rest of the way. I have had no shrinkage issues as of yet. I also saw a review mentioning fuzz residue left behind on the foot. I have had some of that but nothing too major. I'm going to assume that will lessen in time, as these are brand new. We shall see. I do like the touch of grey on the toe and the heel just for aesthetic purposes. All in all these are as good, or better than any of the "name brand" socks I've purchased in the past. These ankle sock are perfect. They are comfortable to wear. True to size. Good for summer wear. They came quickly. The price was good. They are white neutral color.

I wear white ankle socks practically every day, with a drawer full of Hanes. As I needed a new set to replace normal wear and tear, I ran across these and thought I’d try out to save a few dollars. Big mistake - they slipped a lot in both the ankle as well as inside my shoes, and I’m just an average size 10. They were also not as cushioned so are not as comfortable as the Hanes. They are too cheap to return so just lessened learned for me to spend the extra money next time on the Hanes. If you’re on a budget or not particularly picky these do the minimum.
