I have been trying to work my way through the lower priced pomades to the more expensive ones. At approx £11 I would put this in the medium priced range.This is a water based pomade described as having a high hold and a high sheen, which is a fair description. Reuzel Red seems to be Reuzel's flagship pomade which is the same high sheen with a medium hold. I chose the blue over the red as I have quite thick hair and I think that was the right choice.Being water-based it washes out easily and can be reset through out the day by putting a wet comb through it. It has a pleasant butterscotch fragrance which I like, others seem to opt for either a bayrum Cologne smell or a chemically fruity smell which I'm not so fussed on. So an sweet butterscotch scent was a nice change.Even though it is 'high hold' I would not recommend for people wanting a very high pomp look, I have fairly thick hair which is in a straight slickback style but not that long , I don't think I could get a high pomp with this product alone. YouTube is an excellent place to get a video review of this product with plenty of positive and negative reviews mainly because of the type of hair that the reviewer has. 3.5/5 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great stuff! *by N***N on 5 October 2016* I've used red reuzel in the past and loved it. This appears to be just as good. The red gives quite a 'flexible' hold which holds well but you can still run your fingers through it and play with it a bit. The blue has an equally good, if not better, hold and can be put through the hair easily. The finish is more dry rigid finish like a gel. If I feel I need to adjust my hair through the day I just wet a comb slightly and run it through my hair. Love reuzel products and they always smell goooooood! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best pomade? *by M***E on 4 May 2016* Quite possible the best pomade I've ever used!It smells fantastic to me, it's good whiff of vanilla that lasts the whole day/until the next morning. However, it's best part is the hold and feel of the product in your hair.I've been through a lot of pomades, due to being obsessed with collect the tins, but this is very similar to Suavecito. It goes in very easily and washes out like a cheap generic hair gel. I usually apply to towel damp hair which leaves it with a nice shine throughout the day but it does not give the appearance of a head full of grease or any crispy/flakeyness that you can get with other water based pomades. I have tried using it on hair after blow dry, but found the hold too strong for my liking.Throughout the day it does stay flexible and you can re-comb if it gets knocked out of place, but I've never really had the need to as the hold is so strong. If you do need to completely re-do the pomp you can wet it and then it re-sets like new again.Overall, I can't fault it.
