**Q: how long would the battery life be? considering i will be using for furniture and appliance assembly?**
A: The battery life is initially about like that of any cheap 18v NiCd drill. The problem with this unit is the low quality of the included battery, which shorts internally and needs to be replaced within 6 months. And the craftsman replacement batteries don't last much longer. Steer clear, unless you just want to assemble one thing and then sell the drill.

**Q: How can i get a recharging unit? my battery has run out and i can't find the recharging unit that came with the drill. where can i get one?**

A: I would follow the manufacturer's suggestion in the instruction manual.  Previously answered by Dan Schroeder.  Instruction manual says 120 VAC, 60H only.
