Not used this year. It was OK but had to scrape out some of the bulb holders to make bulbs fit. Still has original batteries. I guess it depends how long you have it on. To be honest I was disappointed with the quality of this product. Compared to some similar products on the market this looks cheap and nasty. Is it worth the hassle of setting it up? No. **Q: Do houses light up? Or is it just the string of lights to wrap around the village scene?** A: There is a hole in the back of the houses to put the string of lights in **Q: How tall are the houses?** A: From the base to the roof top 7cm or 3inches. Some of them with e.g. a spire are upto 9cm or 4 inches.
