Battery type CR2032.Strap width 20 mm if you want to swap it for a nato one or something else. They say this is leather but does not feel like it. Cheap and excellent watch. Wait for deals and bargains. Register for updates. Amazon warehouse is great, too. Great quality and heavily discounted watches.

I wanted a radio controlled watch, as they are allegedly very accurate. I also wanted one with a clear face, as my eyesight is not really the best. I must confess, I was not specifically wanting it to be able to speak the time as well. But, it does, so I won't complain. The face is bit and clear. The allegedly real leather strap seems strong, and was long enough to go around my wrist without being too tight. Setting it up was a doddle. Just press a button and watch the second hand whizz round until it gets to the right time. Which it did, almost. As it relies on the radio signal from the atomic clock in Cumbria I guess it just could get it absolutely right first time. It was bout three minutes slow. But, I followed the instructions and put it near to a window and the next morning it had updated itself and was spot on with the 8am pips on Radio 4 long wave. It's a bit chunky, but with the large face, and the speech chip inside I guess it was going to be. Not a bad purchase, but I believe there are better out there.

This is a very smart, stylish watch. It’s very clear and easy to read and has a very clear voice function making it ideal for both visually impaired people such as myself and fully sighted people alike.

I got this for my dad who has poor sight. He loves it - it is easy for him to read and the speaking function can come in handy too.It is a bit complex to set up and the instructions could be better.

The instructions would give an A level student a headache and I am clearly no A level student. I have a degree in fairness I did not like the look and I maybe as a result did not make the real effort required to work out how it worked. I gave it to a friend who works with blind people {I have sight loss but not enough to appreciate any pluses } and he said he would find some one who would want it.

Purchased this watch for my grandfather who has limited vision and finds new technology complicated. This watch is perfect for him, very easy to use. Audio is very clear.

I sent this to my father in France. His eyesight is failing. The first issue is that the radio time synchronization only works in UK. But it can be set to manual. It has a high contrast dial but the other functions deteriorated rapidly: the speaking time failed to match the displayed time by 10min, hourly chime started randomly and cannot be turned off, it lost 15min over a month. Finally, the instructions are poorly written and navigating the functions is unintuitive. I recommend you avoid this watch.
