No. Too big (9” long) for little taps. For little taps you need a tap wrench like Starrett 174 that is around 3.5 - 4” long.

Enough to fit a 1/2- 13. Wouldn't hold a 3/8-18 ,NPT

Mine does. .5" is it's max capacity.
