Modern Compressible Flow: With Historical Perspective

I was pleasantly surprised that it was well written and easy to understand
This was the assigned textbook for my graduate level compressible flow class. I was pleasantly surprised that it was well written and easy to understand. The chapters were written in a way that made the subject matter interesting..

Great Book
Great book for introduction. Easily understandable with a decent amount of examples that really helps in learning the material.

Shallow, poorly organized
The information is poorly organized whether you wish to use it as a reference or as a learning tool. When filled with the proper bookmarks, you will quickly find that the depth of what the material covers is too shallow. That said, the shallowness makes it ideal for an undergraduate course. By not going into too much detail, it is less confusing for a first approach to the subject.

Anderson's books are always amazing. I still use this as a reference for graduate classes. Printing and binding have held up over several years of use.

Binding is garbage
The content is fine, but the binding is garbage. I doesn't stay open, so I have to set heavy things on it to keep it open to the page I'm working on. Because of that I'm 4 weeks into the semester and pages are already falling out.

So far the book is great
I have been busy and only read the first chapter. I am sure it will be a great book. Plan to get more books like it.

Anderson's texts are, or should be, the standard by which all engineering texts should be judged....bar none.

Very worse quality, don't buy!
This printing and quality of this book is awful. It really disgusted me.Don't buy it from them. I regret buying such a cheap version, especially it's such a classic textbook which I want to keep.Don't recommend at all.:(

Great content. Extremely poor binding. Falls apart after 1.5 years.
I have two of Anderson's books. Both are great texts. His work is very useful for anybody engaged in CFD. This particular book has been extremely useful in my work on transient compressible pipe flows. However, the binding is total garbage. See the attached photo. After 1.5 years of use, it is falling apart. I have 40-year-old university books that are in better condition than this book. If you are considering getting this book, you should make allowance for repairs to the binding. Binding repair is frequently required for very old books and there are numerous guides on DIY binding repairs. Just search "book binding repair" or equivalent. You will find that repairing the binding on this book requires book binding glues and fabrics. Or, you can get the book repaired by a professional. In either case, the cost of repairing the book should be factored in to the purchase price.

Anderson explain things super clear!
Anderson explains complicated things such these in a very simple way. I suggest this text, especially for the low price.
