Rep, Rips, Reps Weave: Projects, Instruction, and Inspiration

This is one of the best instructional books on rep weave. The diagrams explaining how to read a rep weave profile draft are clearly presented and comprehensible. After some study, I felt I would be able to actually create my own rep weave designs. The designs and weave structures of the included projects are interesting, and could be woven as instructed, but also lend themselves well to being adapted and modified to accommodate ones own artistic inspirations. The book includes projects ranging from simple 2-shaft designs, to more complex 4 and 8-shaft projects, and there is an entire chapter on how to create your own rep weave designs.

Just got my copy and it is lovely! Clear directions, with many helpful hints on how to make rep weaving easier. Beautiful projects and a section on designing your own projects. She assumes you already know how to do basic warping and doesn't include that (Thank you!) and instead uses the space to describe what rep is and gives clear, concise explanations of her weaving notation, threading and treadling and offers several alternative treadling methods. I initially had some misgivings about the 'games' portion of the design section, but now that I see it, I understand its value. Patterns are given for 2, 4 and 8 harness looms. This one is a keeper!!

I really like this book. I've been weaving for 20 years, but never did much rep weaving. Beautiful pictures and patterns. I just finished the project from the book called Double Steps and was very intimidated at the beginning. It was a very dense warp that had to be sleyed on two levels. But her instructions throughout the book were concise and spot on. I felt like she was holding my hand throughout the weaving process. Very well-written; highly recommend.

This is a great book for weavers wanting to improve their skills in rep with some very interesting and attractive projects.

This is a stunning book. It is accessibly written. The drafts are beautiful. Coifman's color choices and designs are spot on. She explains how to weave rep with her trademark clarity. A tour de force.

I have several books on rep but I like this one the best. It actually tells you how to weave it and design it. Instructions and illustrations are very good. It is not just projects.

when received this book is terrible. the book was printed badly, it is upside down and backward. also pages are not cut correctly, page numbers missing. Also I thought prices were reasonable but I see the price on the backpage. It shows $41.95 and also should be free shipping when spent $35.00 Please explain why this happened.
