As other reviewers have mentioned you must take off the protective film on BOTH sides of each piece of plastic in the package. Do this before assembling it! There are no instructions so look at the pictures of the assembled product. My first picture shows where there are two larger size holes, one on each of two sides. The baby fish can swim through these holes as we found out the first night we put this in the tank. To fix this situation we used two paper clips to bring the box out of the water higher than these two holes so that the fish can’t escape. We never used the suction cup because our tank is curved and it wouldn’t adhere (the paper clip did the trick). It works for us with just a little innovation on our part. I like this box because it is smaller than others to fit in our small tank. It does seem expensive for what it is.

The section fall apart unless you glue it. It doesn’t come with a suction cup to attach it to the aquarium so now I have to find a suction cup. Not a good deal.

I occasionally raise African Dwarf Frogs. This box is perfect for keeping tadpoles turned froglets in the adult tank vs keeping them in the tadpole tank.Mine didn't come with a suction cup and while I was building it, one of the bands shot out of my hands and disappeared into the nethers that is the void of the main living room where my 4 cats and 2 kids reign supreme.My only complaint is that the holes do not allow for such water movement to cycle thru properly. So if there's a slick on top of the water in the box, I have to unhook it from the side and dip it into the tank more to let the slick be carried away by the flow from the filter. However this is way better than the crummy net boxes where you can lose your fish or tadpoles in the seam of the netting, and way better than the hang on the back breeder boxes that have no water flow with or without an air tube.

I think this product would get better reviews if it came with instructions. Instead the side walls and lid were seran wrapped and the hooks and misc parts were in a small zip baggies. That's all that comes in the package. Yes this breeding box is completely clear. You'll need to peel off the protective plastic and it'll be clear. Once I figured out how to assemble the box, I was impressed with the structure and sturdiness. It took me about 5 mins to assemble the thing. It only goes together one way. Use the rubber bands to secure the panels. Once assembled, it hooks on to the tank well and doesn't move much. I'm using it for my momma shrimps and time will tell if the shrimp fry are still small enough to pass through the holes. I'll give it 4 stars. With instructions and an easier way to remove the protective plastic film, this product could easily get 5 stars.

First, there were no instructions, so it was a jigsaw puzzle to put together. I had 2 little extra pieces left over that I don't know where they go. The pieces are held together with clear rubberbands. There were no extras of those in this kit. There ought to be because, while assembling it, a few went flying across the room. Fortunately, I found them. If I had to do over, I would not purchase this product. It works fine once it's assembled, but oh my!I saw other reviews saying it's not clear. It IS clear. You have to remove the protective plastic from both sides of each piece.

Comes disassembled and without instructions. Took my boyfriend 5 minutes to figure it out and put it together (he's great at puzzles). The thick rubber bands go on the outsides of the joins and hold everything securely together. The box is almost invisible in my tank which I love. I have Tiger Badis fry and I hope they don't slip through the holes (the fry are very very tiny). Awesome product!!

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased size 1 and its perfect size for my African Dwarf Frogs to enjoy their bloodworm in peace. I have a tank full of speed and 3 savage eating goldfish. Goldfish will be going to the pond when winter passes. Anyway perfect to let my froggies hang out and eat in peace. Sturdy for sure. Highly recommend. One downfall was no instructions and had to look at Amazon pic to kinda piece it together.

The box didn’t have instructions on it. The corners some of them were broken. I didn't want to request a refund because I needed so fixed it how I could use it; but wouldn't recommend it.
