Superior Adjustability & Results-Smooths Frizz & Gives My Stubborn Fine Hair Long Lasting Style
My hair has never looked so good as when I blow it out with this powerful and highly adjustable Elchim professional blow dryer. I’ve gone through lots of dryers over the years and some have been quite spendy, but this is my all time favorite. I didn’t luck out and get the best hair as it’s fine, dry, thinning around my face, lifeless and resistant to holding style. Even though it’s not dirty, I typically need to wash and blow it out with a round brush everyday if I want it to have a nice shape and style. This dryer allows me to get the perfect heat and power setting for different areas of my hair. My hair is fine and thin in front, so I need lower heat to avoid damage. And it’s fine but thick and heavier in the back, so I need higher heat there for better hold. The controls are on the side, except the cool shot is in the middle. I’ve quickly adjusted to using the controls on the side that allow for incremental changes in heat and power. The dryer is easy to hold as it’s relatively compact and lightweight and also easy to maneuver with a long (and pro quality) power cord.My hair comes out it’s best and has more shape and hold than I’ve ever been able to get with my other dryers. I use the longer concentrator as I think it prevents more damage, and it works well for me. A shorter one is included, along with a diffuser. I usually blow my hair under to get the most shape and fullness, and the heat and power settings are easy to use to get more hold than usual. I use the cool shot button to lock in the shape, and my ends look so much healthier and smooth and are actually bouncy and full of body. I can even flip the end ups when blowing my hair out for a different look, and it will stay that way even into the next day. I’m getting superior results in the same or less time.My hair is lifeless except it gets some frizz, and this Elchim dryer smooths the frizz out perfectly. Plus, I don’t get any static like I do with some other dryers. Unlike usual, the second day my hair still has its shape and the ends still look fresh and perky. This is the best dryer for me, and it’s so adjustable and powerful it should be great for thick, coarse hair too (or any hair type). The presentation looks high end, like professional hair dryers that I’ve purchased. This Elchim dryer would be a treasured gift for anyone who values high end hair tools. As a side note, my hair stylist only buys Elchim dryers for use at the salon. Love it. 5 stars. Made in Italy.

Wow wow wow!!!
I am no stranger to spending $$$ on my hair, but I have never heard of this brand before. This is more of a professional brand vs a luxury consumer brand, so the features are going to be a bit different. But the performance - wow!!! I have fine, damaged, chemically treated hair. However it is very stubborn to style, and I am always running late in the morning. This blow dryer made a HUGE difference for me! It is super powerful and even at a lower heat setting to protect my hair, my drying time is cut by more than half. It runs incredibly quiet - my dog usually runs away when I blow dry my hair, but he didn't even know I was using this! There are a whopping 36 settings for heat and power!! No complicated digital displays or confusing buttons - just two rocker style buttons to increase/decrease, which you can use without looking. It is compact and lightweight - weighing only 18 ounces as well. Seriously, my blow-outs are looking like my stylist did them - I feel like I've found their secret!!!

Broke/Pricey
This review is for the Elchim 8th Sense Hair Dryer. 1) at current time writing this review, it's priced at $250.00. WHY? That's crazy! 2) After using for about a minute, the attachment becomes extremely hot & ouch- watch your fingers! So this Elchim 8th Sense Hair Dryer arrives nicely in a box. Upon opening the box, the hair dryer looks used. One of the attachments were on it, & none of them were wrapped. When you purchase a new hairdryer, the cords are typically wrapped, & at this price point, you'd expect it to be. The interior of the box was dirty also. So not sure if they are all like that, or if this is a used one?It comes with a diffuser & 2 attachments. There is an instruction booklet that you need to scan thru to find the English section (flip to the middle). The dryer has a good amount of power, & has a cold shot button. The on / off button toggles left to right, so if you are used to an on/off button being up & down, this will seem awkward. There are 2 buttons that you can press up & down to adjust the amount of heat. The one looks like it should light up, but doesn't. It has a long cord. When I tried to remove the one attachment that was on it when it arrived, it does not come off. So that is broke, & I question if that part should be getting that hot, even when it's on less than a minute. So, my 1 star rating is based on the unit I received. It seems used upon arrival, & damaged since I can't get the one attachment off.How would my rating change if the unit was new, the attachment came off as it should, & the barrel didn't get extremely hot to touch (more so than other hair dryers I've tried)? Not much. I'd rate it maybe 2 stars? The price point is crazy for what it is, I've had dryers in the $50 range that I've liked better, & I felt the on/off button is awkward. It has a good amount of power (I'd guess 1875 watts?). It says in the description that this can be for everyone (babies), but please be careful with kids because if you get a unit like the one I have, a child can easily get burnt touching the concentrator attachment.
