The software suite has some issues and if I was reviewing just the software this would probably be a 3.5 star review, however it at least looks nice and gets the job done even if it's a bit buggy.The reason I say this is a must-have for a water-cooled system is because this is, as far as I know, the best way available to link your radiator and case fans directly to your CPU's internal temperature. I have a custom curve set up on all my fan groups to make sure that the system is whisper-quiet when the system is under minimal load, and under load the fans gradually spin faster and faster depending on how much stress the CPU is under. I don't have a Corsair PSU in my own rig, however in the rig I built for a customer I was able to connect it directly to the Link Commander Mini and monitor the PSU's fan speed and temperature through the software, and link it into the temperature curves I had set up for the system.Also of importance is the ability to control the lighting. This is potentially a little frustrating since you need Corsair's proprietary RGB LED strips if you want the option to control them through the software. It's not really necessary if you never plan to change the color or turn off your lights, but I like having the option and felt it was worth a few bucks extra.It's a shame that there are not more options available for software-controlled cooling and lighting ecosystems on the market, but considering how few competitors Corsair has in this niche I feel like they still managed to fill it very well. I can also recommend it to people who have air cooled systems as well, however I feel like water cooling is where the Commander Mini shines the brightest. ### ⭐⭐⭐ does the job *by S***O on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2015* could be better, hardware wise, i was disappointed, I wish this item got 2 RGB led connectors not just one, i had to run extra cables to link my lighting nodes to it just because there's only 1 spot to connect your LEDS. Second issue is the smart link connection, I was linking my Corsair AX1500i to it, and the connector just detached from the first connector it broke out. I don't know if the unit was defective or it broke with me using it, however, i connected it to the second one and it works perfect. the software is a bit above average and can be better. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works. *by Z***H on Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2017* I have no complaints.
