CLOVER (Hardcover Collector's Edition)

It's lovely! So happy to have it in my collection. The art is gorgeous.I do have a little note though. Some of the translations are incorrect. In one part it says こころ which means heart but in the book they translated it as mind. Another part says 歌う少女 which says sing girl but instead says singing waif.But ultimately besides some translation problems, its beautiful and you can't go wrong with clamp. :)

I’m old enough to remember when this first came out. Truly a great piece of manga. The art is entirely different and the use of space/margins is unique

Wow, such a beautiful, sad story. It really touches you. It was kind of depressing, yet it was fascinating, too. A really unusual mix of sorcery & sci-fi. Very old school sci-fi. Overall, this was one of CLAMP's better works. It ended with me wanting more.

great addition to my manga collection. huge book, hardcover and some colored pages

Really interesting story, and came in very good condition. The only problem was the printing, some panels were cut off, but is still readable.

The product is awesome but amazon sent it clearly unsealed (without the plastic that seals the product) and it came dirty.

Let's get the negatives out of the way first. There are several small dents/ scuffs on the front and back covers. The biggest blemish (with my copy, at least) is a large UPC sticker on the back. (Pictured) I tried peeling it off, starting with the upper left, but the sticker peeled away from itself, so I stopped messing with it. The book was not sealed in any way. It's really a shame that it was treated with disrespect.Now, for the positives: The pages were pristine, there are no spelling errors, no visual errors of any kind. It is a very good remaster of a nearly 25-year-old manga. Arguably Clamp's visually finest work. It's considered a classic for a reason. The binding is decent enough, no pages separated. (surprising, given the state of the outer cover) It shipped in a box, so no need to worry about further damage associated with a mailing envelope.All in all: Fantastic work, and the best version of Clover by far, but the exterior's quality left something to be desired. If you don't mind a book's exterior appearing worn despite being supposedly brand-new, ignore the negatives mentioned. Almost worth the price asked, in my opinion.
