You don't realize how bright 1200 Lumens is until you're staring at these in the daylight realizing that they're actually a little painful to look at directly. I've used them to replace my daylight running lights and they have no issue being noticed. After using them for several months now, I think these will be long lasting like the other LED bulbs I've installed in the vehicle. They run cool to the touch which is a good sign.One down side is the low current draw means they they'll likely trigger the blown bulb indicators in your vehicle if you have one. You can install resistors in parallel with the bulb and that will resolve the problem. These are just what I was looking for. With the days getting shorter in Autumn, I am often left cutting the grass as the sun goes down and into the darkness. These are so much better than the lights that come with my mower. It's like a completely different machine with these headlight bulbs. I specifically searched for the highest Lumens possible, and these exceeded my expectations.Update: 2 years later and one of them has gone out. I am taking some stars because LEDs are supposed to last way longer than this, and the warranty is only good for one year.

I installed these in my Craftsman lawn tractor. Unfortunately, only one worked. When I removed the non-working one, the base came away from the bulb. I had to add some wire to the positive connection and re-solder it the base. Now it works.The lights are brighter than the incandescent bulbs they replaced, by far. And really, that's what I was looking for. If the one bulb had not been defective, I would have given five stars. As it was, it took only about five minutes for me to fix the issue, so not too bad.My wife asked why I need brighter bulbs in the lawn tractor when I never cut the grass at night. She just doesn't get it.

I put these in place of the 1156 bulbs my older John Deere compact utility tractor used for hood headlights. These are much brighter. The average lumens per standard incandescent 1156 is 400 and these are advertised as 1200, which are probably close to the max you are going to find currently for this form factor bulb. They appear well made and hopefully will be durable. I'll post an update if they ever conk out (which isn't too likely since they should last at least 20000 hours and I only have 1200 hours on my tractor engine hour meter after 20 years!).

OMG!!!!.... After several tries at finding a bulb that was satisfactory to what I was looking for to put in my John Deere riding mower....I happened across these babies....after reading all the reviews and glowing reports as to the brightness of these bulbs I took the plunge, and let me tell you that these lights are more than I could have imagined and have exceeded my expectations by a long shot....Kudos to JDM ASTAR on a superior product...I will be showing an untouched unedited view of my before lights and then of the JDM 1200 LUMENS I just received...brace yourselves this is a for real shot shining on my garage door.....Thx JDM....all of my future lighting needs are yours...

I have a 2011 VW Jetta and they are EXTREMELY bright as Day Time Running lights, but not as bright as reverse light because the reverse light housing is very small on my Jetta (but that's not JDM's fault). But seriously my DRLs are as brighter than my 35W HID headlights (the beam just isn't as focused). I have also had them in my car for over a year and have not had any problems with them flickering or burning out. Very well made product.Edit: Two of the four light bulbs only lasted a year

What a great pair of LED lights these are!! They were shipped promptly and are performing flawlessly. I am using them as DRL's in my Goldwing. I love the light output these lights produce! I don't know if they are 1200 lumens, but I do know that if I look at them for any length of time... say longer than a couple of seconds... I see spots for the next 15 minutes! No kidding!Time will tell as far as how long they last on a motorcycle, but I suspect, based on the build quality, they should last for years! I will buy from this seller again (actually I just ordered more because I liked them so much) and strongly suggest you consider these LED's if you want to be seen!Way to go JDM ASTAR!!
