Not a bargain, but quality seems high
I use these as one of the starter foods for angelfish spawn. They are good because they tend to float on the surface and descend slowly through the water column giving the babies a lot of opportunity to eat. Also trains them to eat surface food as they grow. More expensive than worms or brine shrimp, but they make a good addition to the mix.

Excellent product for fry
First bites was just what I needed to feed shrimp fry. Its really easy to use and I premixed it in short batches 1 tb at a time with water and stored it in the fridge. I fed with a pipette...it was very easy and I have a lot of product left for my next group of shrimp fry (I already have a yellow shrimp with eggs again). I started feeding when I noticed that the shrimp with eggs no longer had eggs (the shrimp fry are so tiny at this point its near impossible to see them.) For a couple of weeks I wasn't even sure that any of the eggs were viable or had survived, but I continued to add a small amount of first bites to the tank everyday. Then one day I spotted a juvenile and soon after I observed 15 + tiny fry, I was so excited and I have no doubt that this product helped nourish them during that time. I am hoping to get bamboo shrimp at some point and this will no doubt be a good supplement for them, as well. The picture is a couple of shrimp fry (super tiny yellow reddish dots on the rock next to an amano shrimp).

The babies love it.
The media could not be loaded. The first time I attempted to raise baby guppies, half of them died before reaching adolescence. I fed them shrimp pellets that crumbled when saturated. I rarely saw them eat. Now that I’ve seen their reaction to this stuff, I’m near certain the food was the issue. They looove this powder. They seem to smell it and swarm the surface immediately. They’re still quite small, but I feel like I notice growth already, and hope to update with pics of 6 healthy adult guppies soon!Only notes: It is a little fiddly, being a powder, and my only wish is that it would come with something to help dispense the food. (I’ve been using a plastic drinking straw.) It also spreads rapidly across the surface as soon as it hits the water, so you’ll probably want to feed in a breeder box or something similar.Video attached. (I’m sorry for my bird squeaking in the background.) I have never seen babies so excited for food :)

Perfect for fry!
The media could not be loaded. My Mountain Cloud Minnows recently had eggs. I tried researching but couldn’t find anything for baby minnows. Then I look on Amazon and found First Bites. I bought the 3 pack and it was perfect! My minnows are very small and I didn’t know if this would work, but after my fish turning into fry, they eat it right when it sinks! This is a perfect product!
