Oracoat Xylimelts for Dry Mouth Relief, Mild Mint (Pack of 3), 40 Count

These mints are made from a natural substance that has anticavity properties. The glue layer allows the mints to attach to a tooth so you won’t swallow or choke on them at night. They cause saliva to flow in what would otherwise in my case be a dry mouth, due to medications I’m on. Dry mouth is environment tooth decay bacteria like. A competing brand uses similar mint but slightly smaller and without the glue layer. Other anti-dry mouth products I’ve tried do not protect nearly as long as ones that stay in the mouyh for hours.

I have used Oracoat Xylimelts for dry Mouth for many years and I am pleased with it. So easy to use.

My mouth gets really dry at night because of my CPAP and I just pop one or two of these in and they adhere to my gums and I don't wake up with my tongue completely dried out and my mouth a desert. Also, xylitol helps prevent cavities so you get the benefit of that as well. It's ashamed they are so over-priced. Honestly. $27 bucks for some mints? They work great but I deducted a star because of the price.

I have been using these dry-mouth melts for a few years now, and I love them. I use them night and during long meetings where I don’t want to chew gum. If I pop 2-3 in my mouth and strategically place them before I go to bed, at least one is still partially there in the morning. And I don’t have to worry about sugar; these don’t have any! The mild mint flavor is great for me as I don’t like strong mint overnight. But my favorite flavor is actually the more costly cinnamon. Why one flavor is more expensive than the other is a mystery to me.With Xylimelts, I feel a definite difference in the moisture (and freshness) in my mouth in the morning—verses not using them, and as compared with other xylitol treatments. If I’ve eaten and my teeth feel less than ideal—and I’m not able to brush—these actually make my teeth feel cleaner. I’ll be using Xylimelts for as long as they’re available.

On the advice of my dental hygienist, I tried this product after suffering from nightly, severe dry mouth. I had tried various devices to keep my jaw closed and several inadequate mouth tapes. Using two tablets to start and one tablet for the last sleep segment (usually melted away by the 5-hour mark), I am thrilled with the results. The tablets are virtually tasteless, and my mouth is no longer dry when waking. Setting the tabs in place becomes easier with experience. I plan to use Xyliments every night. I no longer have to experiment with failing products!

These mats are very helpful for nighttime use. I use two every night, and they are very helpful to overcome dry mouth. I have not tried them during the day, but only at night, and I do find them useful.
