Very durable, we bought it for our border collie
I looked for a remote control car that was soft and durable since I wanted to find something for my border collie puppy to herd in the house and keep him entertained. This did the trick. It is nice is soft and he can pick it up in his mouth, carry it around, bite at it, push it, chase it, etc. and so far it hasn't had any problems. It drives well. It only goes straight and right but I knew that since it was meant to be a toddler toy. My pup barks at it and never wants to stop playing with, which is probably going to be the problem since he can get OCD about things... It should be great for a kid too!

Second one works so far
My two year old son loves school busses, and his older cousin has remote control cars, so this seemed like a great toy for him.Unfortunately, when it arrived, it didn't work. It went forward just fine, but wouldn't turn. The wheels would spin correctly if I lifted it off the ground, but it didn't have enough torque, I think some gears were stripping. We returned it to Amazon and ordered a new one, and so far, the new one is functional. There are a couple of other minor quirks - you have to unscrew it and pull it apart to pull the battery out, but the screw is small, and the hole is very deep and narrow. You need a small screwdriver to get it open. Also, if we leave the toy on, it occasionally makes a noise for a split second as if you tapped one of the remote buttons - possibly receiving a signal from something else?In any case, my son does like the toy. It's VERY simple, which is appropriate for his age range. There are only two buttons - forward, and spin in place. He uses it a fair amount considering the short attention span of a two year old. Every once in awhile I see it buzzing around the house, three weeks after he got it. For what I spent on it (<$15) it was a good purchase.

Great toy!
We bought this for our 22 month old and he loves it. There are only two different buttons on the controller so it was very easy for him to figure out. We did have a problem with the controller not communicating with the bus for some reason. It would just stop working all of a sudden and then just as suddenly start working again. When I called the company, though, they immediately sent us a new one. Now, our old one started working again so I'm not sure why that happened but our little guy loves the new one (and the old one when it's working)! :)

A disaster from the get go
I have never seen a more counter intuitive toy. I had to open 6 screws to lift the rubber chassis to install the battery. Two of the screws were jammed and could not come off, it took an hour and multiple tools to get them out. When the cheap rubber chassis was put back, the car would not move because of lack of clearance the wheels would get jammed. I had to cut the rubber off to improve the clearance. finally it worked. It fell from the table and the batters popped out to reinstall them the 6 screws had to be removed again and the saga repeated. Not worth the headache.OH the battery holder was another story the contact springs were loose and putting three AA battery took a plier to get them in.

Good toy with one annoying flaw.
The two button remote is easy to figure out for young children and the soft sides make for less baseboard damage. My main complaint is that is has an electrical short that makes it randomly start driving on its own. My son was so afraid of it after the first time it started driving on his toy shelf in the middle of the night that he wouldn't play with it for a month. The simple solution is to turn it off before you put it away.

Good buy!
Great first RC car for my 2 year old son. Very simple and easy to use. He's used to being frustrated because he can't get his 6 year old brother's RC cars to work. We didn't even have to show him how to work the remote, he just picked it up and started running the bus. It's smaller than I thought it would be but that's really not a problem. It's a soft, flexible plastic that won't hurt furniture when it runs into it, yet it's strong enough to withstand my son standing on it. I definitely recommend this product.

Good Product but Don't buy more than One
Absolutely great for a child's first remote control car. The two-button remote control is easy for toddlers to operate and hold. Batteries are easy to replace and last a really long time in both the car and the remote control. This School Bus is made of Soft Rubber to help it absorb abuse by youngsters. Seems like a good design feature as he loves to stand on it sometimes but it remains as it is. The kids love them as they are easy to use and durable.I am giving it FOUR STARS because we bought two of these i.e Go Go school bus and fire truck. (You can Read my Review of Fire Truck which I wrote earlier). The PROBLEM with these toys is that they are all set to the same frequency-27 mhz. The controller for the bus also controls the fire truck when both are on. My reason for buying them was that two kids could use them together, but practically its not possible. So if you are planning to buy for more than one kids to use at the same time, my advise would be to look for something else. Otherwise, it is still a great product that a small 2 year old can control all on his own.

This is soo cool!
Granddaughter opened this on Christmas Day, she loves school buses & has several but remote controlled until that morning.. She was so happy & an that made me happy! They put batteries in and she ran it all over the house, very easy for her to operate. It’s a type of very heavy duty rubbery material, it’s kinda soft, it’s not hard. Overall, I’m very happy with this little remote control bus! First thing my granddaughter said was “this is soo cool“!
