Living in Florida and shooting pool in some places that do not crank their AC causes my hands to sweat. This solves that issue without having to use the big hunk of chalk that everyone else has put their hands on. I have not used the other end for shaping the tip but I really did not buy it for that reason. It also does not make a mess and fits nicely inside my pool cue case pocket.

I hope this is the real deal, I'd love to support Joe's work. Regardless this is a good design and seems well made.

This was a gift for my husband, who loves to play pool. He puts powder in it and can keep this little container in the bag his pool cue goes in. He's told me, several times, how handy it is and how convenient to have powder to use while he plays. Made a nice little present.

I like this for a little powder dispenser. Works well.
