I recently got this for my Mom,who is 83yrs. She had a Doro 8035 and 1 day it just completed stopped. Do not recommend Doro!This phone is 100% better than it.Once you have inputted numbers,and you can put in 8 photos, which I took screenshots of from my own phone,recorded persons name, so she can now just tap on photo,and it will show persons face and say name and just ring.Re WhatsApp I rang the 3 numbers she uses,so now she just taps on green sign,and taps name to ring.Also photo displays on outside of phone when it rings.She also likes the big clock and day on outside of phone when not being used.SOS button is loud and have tested it on mine and my brothers phone. Texts and rings straight away.This is a super phone. Once all numbers,photos put in etc,this is diff best phone for those who want an easy phone with WhatsApp.

Bought this for my technophobe mum who doesn’t have internet/broadband in hope that the 3G data service would be sufficient to use WhatsApp for texting but unfortunately signal so poor in her area (and she’s in a town) that it only works when I connect yo BT WiFi Hotspot which requires logging in every time and not something she can do. Why didn’t they enable phone with 4G capability at least then might have been able to use WhatsApp as it’s intended. She won’t use internet enough to warrant paying a monthly service. Going to ask neighbours if she can log onto their WiFi and offer a monthly payment in exchange.

Inserted the SIM card and the holder broke. Not able to use should have sent it back

I tried to set up whats app. It says that app on the phone is not officiall and whats app is blocking registration. I tried everything from updating app, register on line, download new app from Google Play but not even google play is working. Apdolite store on the is updating app but that app is "unofficial" and it can't be used.

This phone seriously under sells itself. Yes it has a functioning touch screen rather than the DORO's system but the game changers are the photo contacts and a function not even mentionned in advertising. Namely you can attach spoken names to your contacts. For an elderly person who is partially sighted the photo contact function means they can see a face rather than typed font and the verbal naming of contacts means if they still can't make out the image from the photo they hear who it is.Regret getting the DORO 7080 first as this is a much better option for an older user.

This phone was not as easy to set up as was made out. However once set up it does what I wanted it to do.Although it was rated as good for the older user, a reasonable knowledge of modern technology will certainly help. I still can't get a signal in some places that I visit!I do however like the large buttons and am getting used to the touch screen.

There is too much to do before you make calls or any other functions, that is my view of it. I am in the process of changing it, I am to late to send it back so someone will get it in a charity shop.

Not good product

Il prodotto sembra essere valido, ma unica pecca, sapendo che era diretto al mercato italiano potevano mettere una presa idonea agli standard italiani perché quella della confezione non é utile.

Telefon kommt aus England! Telefonkarte auch von engl. Telefonanbieter. Ist hier in Deutschland evtl. gar nicht zu gebrauchen. Rücksendung sehr umständlich und Teuer!!!Grundeinstellung zu umständlich. Daher geht der Artikel zurück.Allgemein fände ich es gut, wenn die Anbieter bei Amazon Versand- und vor allem Rückversandort angeben müssten/würden!
