PlatinumPreppy Fountain Pen Crystal Fine

I have dozens of fountain pens ranging in value from this one (a few dollars) to hundreds of dollars each. There's something wonderful about picking up a preppy, knowing it's going to work and work great. It's not the best fountain pen out there, but there's nothing that comes close at this price point.

I'm just learning to sketch and this pen works great. It's smooth even on coldpress watercolor paper. I bought my own ink and a converter and it was easy to place the ink in the pen.

I love this pen and purchased it after I watched a review. The pen fits perfectly into my hand, the nib is just right for sketching, and the price is reasonable. I had a little trouble getting the ink to flow after I let the pen sit for 2 weeks, but after "coaxing" it a little it worked just fine. Overall I would recommend this pen to anyone for sketching.

For a cheap pen it does not write cheap and I think this makes a great pen for an every day cary pen that you don't have to worry about scratching or loosing.

Was packed in a simple plastic sleeve as shown in photo, and shipped in a bubble mailer.Pen was usable in 10 minutes after installing ink cartridge. A single supplied cartridge of black ink is not waterproof. Writes nicely on smooth paper. Writes well in reverse for a finer line.The only printing on the barrel is "P PLATIMUM preppy" in white. A sticker with barcode/info removed easily and cleanly. This 'Fine' pen is labeled 03 on top of the cap in white, and 03 is engraved on the nib.I would recommend this budget fountain pen. It's nothing fancy but highly functional.

I got this at the beginning of my semester cause I thought it’d be fun to change things up. Very good for the price, has yet to leak on me and I haven’t noticed any cracking like others have mentioned yet. Overall very good
