Paper Mate 85582 FlexGrip Elite Retractable Ballpoint Pens, Fine Point, Black, 12 Count

I love this pen! Normally, I'm very picky about my pens and prefer sharp tips with liquid ink. But at work (paramedic), those pens don't work well because they won't write on gloves or tape or skin. These pens are the best for writing on anything. I even gave it to a nurse the other day who had misplaced her sharpie and couldn't get her pen to write on a plastic wristband (used to note patient allergies). I handed her mine and told her it wrote on almost anything, and she was surprised when it worked! She even exclaimed "it does write on anything!" Why not just use a sharpie you ask? markers or felt tips pens don't work on our 3 layer carbon paper forms (honestly, no pen transfers 100% of the time, but there's a specific rule against felt tip pens because they never transfer). So for me, this pen works on everything and keeps me from carrying a secondary marker with me. I've tried many ballpoint pens, which all work better that gel or liquid ink pens for different surfaces, but this particular pen surpasses others when writing on plastic. I bought a four pack by chance in my search for the greatest work pen ever, and when they ran out couldn't find any more in the stores. Thank goodness for Amazon. I bought this box and a box of the pink cancer awareness ones - nice to have some variety... and I am a girl. Plus, it has a comfy textured grip without being super thick - I can fit 2 in the pen slot of my cargo pocket (will fit in the slot in the shirt pocket too, but I don't use that).

This is a fine pen but not easy to find in local stores. The fine point writes cleanly and the pen is easy on the fingers, does not pinch or cramp or cause uncomfortable pressure on the fingers while writing with it. Each pen also has a reasonably long life. I will continue to buy it so long as it is manufactured and available at through Amazon.

these very well but the pocket clips break easily

The pen is easy to hold and easy to use. I prefer fine points for writing, crosswords and sudoku. This is my go-to pen! Love it!

These have always been my favorite type of pen. I like the fine point. But for some reason when you click on the end they get stuck and won’t open. I think there’s something wrong with the springs in them. And it’s not just one, it’s happened to three of them.

These pens stop writing before they run out of ink! Plus they constantly come unscrewed while writing. I would expect better quality from Papermate. Highly do NOT recommend!

I've used this for years and will only buy this pen. Nice fine tip and perfect for people like me that keep it on your ear! It will not fall off! My #1 go to for a pen hands down. And it never "skips".

they do the job

It's hard to find a good pen that is not a roller writer pen. As a left hand person I cannot use roller writer pens and it's getting harder to find a regular ink pen. Paper Mate has an excellent product! Hopefully Amazon keeps these around.

These are the only pens that I utilize daily. I love the black colour and find that these pens do not smear or glob. Recommend highly.
