Admittedly I thought this was mains powered not battery..I didn't read whole description.. head kept dipping down and lights not enough/ brightness.. shame.. returned.

Excellent product works very well

This is a very good idea very badly executed. The base is heavy enough but the shape means that one has to lift the entire thing away before one can stand up from the chair. If you just swivel the magnifying glass away, the whole thing falls over.And then there is there packaging. The Amazon outer packaging is fine but the box in which the stand comes has to be destroyed in order to get to the contents with the result that you have bits of plastic sticking to everything in the room because of static electricity.
