A battery desulfator is an electronic device that cleans the internal battery plates to remove lead sulfate. This lead sulfate will form on the batteries internal plates and greatly reduces the capacity of a charge on a battery. By restoring the lead sulfate back into the acid solution you can greatly extend the life of the battery. Our product is designed to be left connected "full-time" to the battery and will provide many years of maintance free operation. This product will work on all types of lead based batteries. It is recommended that a small trickle style charger in the 1-2 amp range be used when recovering a battery. Large high current, bulk rate chargers, will quickly cause heat build up in the battery and could boil the acid causing a very dangerous condition. For large battery systems, like that of a golf cart or solar battery bank, one desulfator is required per battery. This product will desulfate batteries ranging from 1 amp hour to 1000 amp hours. Due to the wide range of battery types and post configurations, we do not include ring lug terminals with our product. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (1.) The Wizbang desulfator should be installed as close as possible to the battery terminals. (2.) You many trim the wire leads back with wire cutters/strippers to work best for your application. (3.) Install the Red wire to the positive (+) terminal on your 6, 8 or 12 volt battery. (4.) Install the Black wire to the negative(-) terminal on your 6, 8 or 12 volt battery. (5.) Verify that the red LED is on, you might also be able to hear a “buzzing” noise. (6.) The best results for recovery will occur within the first 4 weeks. If left connected longer, desulfating will continue but at a slower pace. (7.)The Wizbang desulfator has a built in auto ranging feature that will automatically adjust for different battery voltages. (8.) Your done. Happy desulfating. INPUT VOLTAGE 4.5Vdc – 16Vdc

Good results so far
I'm experimenting with a very old 12 volt gel battery, maybe 15 years old, and so far things are going well. The battery started off at only 4.13 volts and would not take a charge whatsoever. It would get very hot and gas if I tried to charge it with my old school charger (seen in the pics). I even tried a smart charger and it wouldn't even acknowledge a battery was hooked up to it. I added the desulfator to the old battery charger and started off on a 6 volt setting. The battery still got hot but it took a very small charge to my surprise. I would unplug and let it cool and repeat the process to avoid to much heat and gassing. Only a week later and I use a 12 volt setting now and the battery is holding 7.5 volts after hours of being off the charger. I also noticed that the battery does not get so hot anymore while charging so I think this thing is working. I will post my results in a week. So far so good.

Does it or Doesn't work?
I don't have any confidence it works, but it has something other than a light that shines on the outside. My problem is I don't have 4 months to find out if it works. Also you have to buy one for each battery. It is worth it if it works, but who knows for sure without a test site.

need more time to evaluate
It takes time to rejuvinate a battery and I haven't had the device long enough to to see any results

Hard to tell if this gadget really does anything, but the price made it worth a try

I don't know if the unit is working or not, there should be an indicator

Very, Very Impressive!!!
This desulfator is very impressive. I have 2-6 volt golf cart batteries, 2 years old, connected in series for my micro solar system. Three weeks ago I examined the plates in the batteries and took note of their condition and connected the desulfator. This morning upon re-examining the battery plates I was amazed. The plates are very clean, I can absolutely say this product works and is very effective in desulfating the plates of my battery bank.

Good
It seems to be doing the job that we purchased it for. It is a slow process but cannot wait to see if it improves the battery that we purchased it for.

Seems to be working fine, only time will tell.
The only thing that you should note is that there is a high frequency sound emitted form the device. Not a big issue for me as I have a detached garage.
