I found it easy to read and understand
I'm relatively new to the world of intelligence analysis as a practice. Although this book is a bit old, the information contained is really about how the human mind works, and that doesn't change that quickly. I found it easy to read and understand. I would recommend if you find something interesting that you follow up on the specific topic and see if/how it has evolved since this book was put together. For instance, there are new developments in Analysis of Competing Hypotheses (ACH), but if you want a straightforward, succinct intro - this is a good place to get it. If you're looking for a foundation in intelligence analysis, this book seems like a good place to start.

Excellent material
Very in-depth look into the mind or what is required in the mind of an intelligence analyst. Great info for someone trying to grasp the overall picture.

useful advise and analysis
This book is already a required text in many schools but I recommend it to intelligence analysts and leaders that evaluate intelligence reports. The kindle version of this book is much cheaper but the version that I received lacked some of the visual graphics that are discussed. The book is a collection of a series of articles written about how the mind processes information and it discusses the influence that psychology has on intelligence analysis. Overall, it helped me to evaluate my own development as a professional and question my methods of handling information at work. I did find some chapters to be entertaining while others read like a text book.

Great book, Well-written
This book applies to many professionals in addition to intelligence analysts, particularly lawyers and law-enforcement personnel. I highly recommend it to any litigator who wants to improve the quality of his or her analysis of legal problems.

Not so sure
I don't want to post a negative posting about this book. However, I ordered it for a crime analysis course and found it useless. I assume because it didn't really fit the course. In reading the other reviews, maybe this book is more for psychology courses.
