These hedge clippers are well made, sturdy, easy to use, and they work as advertised. When using the extending handles they are no less rugged and they are easy to control; in extension mode the handles snap into place so they don't come undone unless you want them to. I've been using tools of all kinds for 50+ years, good ones, mediocre ones, and really lousy ones. I know a good tool when I use it and these are good, especially so at the price.

These shears cut great like any brand new ones would. I hope they will hold their edge for a long time. The adjustable blade tension seems like it could be a useful feature. They arrived set to medium tension and that created enough drag that they were slightly difficult to open and close. I set them on the loosest tension and they cut grasses and small branches with ease. As they begin to wear or when I need to cut more stubborn plants, the adjustable tension might be very useful. The big surprise to me is how much I like the extendable handles. When I made the purchase, I imagined that would allow me to reach higher things like tree branches. This is true but it only adds about a foot and you really need loppers for any significant tree work. What I love is that they reach down and I can do much less stooping and bending. They are noticeably heavier than other shears I've owned. I hope this means they are well made and will last a long time. It definitely means I will pace myself and only work with them 20-30 minutes at a time.

Hands down, the best tool I've bought for myself in EONS! I'd been getting by with ancient, dull loppers - I don't even know from whence they came - and one day I said to myself, "just buy yourself a decent pair of loppers". These had the best reviews, and for good reason. Firstly, the blades are sharp. I'm not used to that. Also, a long slim blade which cuts a lot at once. They aren't too heavy, easy enough for me and I'm a 67 yr. old female. The best thing about them though (besides the fact that they chop thru a lot of stuff easily) is the ease of lengthening the handles. Whoever designed these did it soooo right. You just grip the handle ends, turn outward and it telescopes. Then, you turn turn inwards and it smoothly locks into place. Smooth, easy, NO frustration. It didn't even come with instructions (no need) because it's so flawlessly designed. My only problem is the urge to turn into Edward Scissorhands with these and over prune all my shrubbery. It makes pruning fun and satisfying again.

Computer designed blades that make a joke out of shrubbery, with ergo-extended handles for when it comes to the really tough stuff? These are shrub eating monsters that cut through thickets like a hot knife through butter, as they give you back time lost by the use of inferior shears. I know because now that I have used these Tabor shears, when compared to my older, hardware pair, there simply is no way to sum them up, except to say it's like comparing a surgeon's scalpel to a dull pocket knife. The only time I extend the handles all the way out is when I come across a limb. Otherwise, I only extend them as far as needed to get the job done. It's simply faster this way. These Tabor shears are a quality tool that no shed should be without. As for my older, hardware pair? At best they could be described as a computer-generated compromise, where one size fits all. If you grasp them at the handle ends where they are marked for holding, it takes longer to get the job done: simply because it takes longer to travel further. When you add this up, when compared to a handle that you can hold at the ends because they're throw is adjustable, you get that time back in spades. These shears allow you to maximize your effort according to the toughness of the shrubbery you're attacking. And that's all that needs be said about that. So glad I bought them.

Exactly what I wanted. Extremely high quality, perfect telescoping length, very nice thick blades that make a satisfying sound. SUPER sharp. My deciduous bushes were an absolute breeze, like BUTTER. As were my evergreens. Just made it so fun to do. A+++

I AM DISABLED AND CANNOT USE IT BUT HAD OTHERS USE IT AND THEY REPORTED TO ME THAT IT WORKED VERY WELL, NO COMPLAINTS, EASE OF USE AND SHARP BLADES AND ENJOYED WORKING WITH IT. I CHECKED IT OVER ON RECEIPT AND WAS PLEASED WITH THE EASE OF EXTENDING THE HANDLES SO ONE CAN REACH SOME HEIGHTS WITHOUT THE USE OF A LADDER, A GREAT HELP WHEN USING IT.

La qualité est vraiment au rendez-vous, elle coupe très bien sans aucun problème, même avec des branches raisonnablement épaisses. Ce qui fait vraiment la différence, c'est la longueur des lames et le mécanisme de coupe précis. Grâce à sa conception ergonomique, je peux effectuer des coupes précises et nettes sans aucun effort. La poignée est également très confortable à tenir, ce qui rend l'utilisation de cet outil agréable. De plus, le poids est tout à fait gérable pour une femme, ce n'est pas trop léger mais c'est tout à fait maniable. La taille est parfaite pour une manipulation facile et efficace lors de la coupe des buissons. These shears are sharp, cut cleanly & easily up to a reasonable thickness of 10 - 15mm and without effort. The telescopic facility is very simple and seems dependable - and provides that extra reach for those more difficult places. I only gave them a 4 rating for weight based mainly on the fact that I'm getting on the fact I'm getting on a bit! They made a previous awkward task much more achievable. Pricewise, it was in the intermediate range but I doubt whether paying any extra would have provided more! I would certainly recommend these shears to my friends!
