Is this board genuine from 'Boogie Board' or a copy of the original one?

My merchandise is all new from the manufacturer Kent Displays the maker of Boogie Board

Erase button stopped working.How to fix it?

The board has a battery. It is a flat button 3volt CR2016 Lithium battery that goes in a chamber located at the top right corner of the board. You need a small Phillips screwdriver to open the chamber. Look for a tiny screw at the top and a "thumbprint" indentation along the top edge. It is very inconspicuous.

Can you back up your notes as you erase them on the app? Will I be able to see what i wrote yesterday on the app and for how long is it stored?

8.5 doesnt allow for sync. the only app available is call JOT which is just to take a picture of what you have drawn. after erase on the 8.5, nothing can be done to retrieve it back.

After all of the negative reviews I'm afraid to buy. Did Amazon just get a bad batch?

I'm not sure what happened and why there are negative reviews. This is a great product and you should definitely buy this product. Love it!
