Pablo Escobar: My Father

The story flowed well and it was like I time traveled to that Era. I am glad I read this story.

Great read with material that wasn't hard to read at all that always had you coming back. It was interesting to see what happened during and after the reign of Escobar from the view of his family that were there in the front row. So many books and movies written about Escobar from an outsider's perspective it was really interesting to read them from his own son.

It was such a good book if you’re into the Netflix series NARCOS and the Pablo Escobar situation. It was very interesting to get a different POV, specifically from Pablo’s son - Juan Pablo!

I have watched the tv shows and documentary series about Pablo Escobar and have always been curious what happened to his family. This books tells all about the life of Pablo and goes into specifics. It names everyone involved by their first, middle and last names. Wow!! My mother is from Nicaragua, and finding out the Nicaraguan president aided Escobar was a shock. A must read for those who like reading about crimes and history.

After binge-watching Narcos, I was interested in the "real" story. This book, written by Escobar the son, has the "ring" of authenticity to it, as it presents a pretty unvarnished account of the father's crimes and atrocities. He does not whitewash his father's deeds, but tries rather to paint a portrait in full of the man as father, son, husband and master criminal. The story of the family (wife, mother, son and daughter) at the time of and after Pablo's death is interesting and, to my knowledge, has not been widely publicized before. I recommend this book to fans of true crime stories.

This detailed account from the perspective of Pablo Escobar's son provides a perspective and experiences that no other published account of his life does (though I'm yet to read his wife's account). Highly recommended if you're remotely interested in Pablo Escobar or if you watched Narcos. A lot of details are missed out on TV and the real and true events as told by Juan are even more captivating

I like that this book was actually about Pablo Escobar. It was very detailed and let the mind really visualize how life must have been. Previously we ordered “man hunters” and although a decent read it was not what was advertised. It mostly talks about the two agents and their past. Very little to do with the capture of Pablo Escobar.

This e-book has given me what i was expecting - the biography of Pablo Escobar - and it also has given me details only a close person like Pablo Escobar's son would be be able reveal. É uma leitura fácil de ler, apesar de estar em inglês!

Pensé tendría fotos diferentes a la edición Mexicana, pero son las mismas, digno de tener en la colección.
